Personal attacks from liberals are ridiculous. When you hear a fox news host critique a democrat it is policyWhile I was channel surfing Chris Matthews said Romney looked like he was wheeled out like a statue at the convention. Back to Fox I went.
Democratic traitors we don’t take a shine to; Republican traitors we believe are enlightened. Then why are they allowing Crist to speak at their convention?
The acerbic tone of Chris Matthews is generally tempered with humor. I personally find him hilarious. Are you so sure about the purity of Fox news hosts?Personal attacks from liberals are ridiculous. When you hear a fox news host critique a democrat it is policy
I find him hilarious as well. Too bad there are so many people out there who think he has a legitimate news program. Maybe he can join John Stewart…although I find Stewart more enlightening than Matthews. The acerbic tone of Chris Matthews is generally tempered with humor. I personally find him hilarious. I’d ask any critic of Fox news host to find a guest personally attacked like MSNBC hosts do to republicansThe acerbic tone of Chris Matthews is generally tempered with humor. I personally find him hilarious. Are you so sure about the purity of Fox news hosts?
Some of these host/journalists should go on each others shows instead of preaching to the choir all the time. I want to see Hannity take on two or 3 liberals and not just the one token liberal and two consrvatives. Matthews against O’Reilly (who is really a conservative in independent clothing) and so on. There are some many substantive battles to be had.I find him hilarious as well. Too bad there are so many people out there who think he has a legitimate news program. Well, I find Matthews funny, not only because he is so often so wrong on most issues, but because of the pompous and petulant manner in which he bathes in his own love of error. He is like the “mean girl” at school who gets elected as homecoming queen and waves it in everyone face. Someone just needs to follow it up with an over-ripe tomato. Some of these host/journalists should go on each others shows instead of preaching to the choir all the time. I want to see a real defense of the issues to the point that the other guy/gal gets shut down. If something is false, it’s false. If you’ve been espousing false information, take it like a man when your proven wrong. Never happens though. That’s why many see phonyness in it all.
You’re a “severe” conservative, Abyssinia! LOLI’d ask any critic of Fox news host to find a guest personally attacked like MSNBC hosts do to republicans
Even with his own, largely Democratic, guests.Well, I find Matthews funny, not only because he is so often so wrong on most issues, but because of the pompous and petulant manner in which he bathes in his own love of error. Like minded folks is great but if something is false, it’s false. The brainwashing techniques of the past are in full effect. It’s a “repeat after me” approach until your dumbed down that shows no sign of changing.People decry the bias in these networks, but in reality it’s what they want. People want their opinions reinforced by these networks, they aren’t interested in hearing opinions that conflict with theirs. Despite having more outlets for news and information than ever, we increasingly spend our days in echo chambers (see Wikipedia under media echo chambers for a list of authors who have written on this-it’s the easiest list).
The thing that makes me laugh is people on the Right and the Left think the “other side” is the only group that does it! We all do it, we’re kind of tribal by nature and we seek out like minded folks naturally.
Because it works! It works in advertising and it works in politics. People make money and gain power because they have learned how to repeat the same lies over and over until people accept them as truth. And standing on each side are the “true believers” who are convinced that their side is the one telling the truth 100% of the time and the other side lies 100% of the time.Like minded folks is great but if something is false, it’s false. Who really loses in this mess are the folks who know perfectly well that both sides lie when it’s convenient or profitable for them and the noise of the"true believers" is drowning out all common sense.
called “What I Learned at Bain Capital.” Today, his campaign launched a new site: sterlingbusinesscareer.com that features video testimonials from those whose companies benefited from Bain. After months of attacks on Bain Capital, Mitt Romney appears to have decided to highlight — and defend — his time there, rather than play defense. Last week, he wrote an op-ed for the Journal

:yup: He got away with that “I had a thrill go down my leg …” free ad for Obama’s irresistible charisma and still kept his job as (an impartial?) news reporter/commentator - yet when a conservative misspeaks, or even just runs (when the polls say he can’t win and will only hurt the (less conservative) candidate that CAN - he is supposed to “step down,” be asked to - or FORCED to).love your description of Matthews! pompous and petulant are 2 perfect words to describe him. your last 2 sentences gave me the laugh i needed for today. thanks!!
i gave up watching chris matthews long ago. he just isn’t worth watching nor is the aggravation worth it from watching him and listening to him.:yup: He got away with that “I had a thrill go down my leg …” free ad for Obama’s irresistible charisma and still kept his job as (an impartial?) news reporter/commentator - yet when a conservative misspeaks, or even just runs (when the polls say he can’t win and will only hurt the (less conservative) candidate that CAN - he is supposed to “step down,” be asked to - or FORCED to).
Matthews is a Catholic (?) and when a Catholic politician* he interviewed told him the Church teaches that abortion is a grievous sin, he (Matthews) just sighed and softly said “I know.”
But he seems to heartily support (and not very stealthily) famously pro-abortion candidates. Particularly “the Thriller!”
Here’s hoping he is more professionally neutral THIS time out.
