I am under the impression that middle of the road Conservatives(not radical right wingers)
are not that keen on Mr.Romney. Right? Not that they will not vote for him anyway, like holding their nose, in spite of themselves
I believe our President is moving us in the right direction in spite of the slow moving economy .and I suppose we could go on forever about that too,but why when it has already been pounded into the ground and broken off.Peace, Carlan

P.S. you know you really don’t sound like one of your new crowd, what are they called, the Tea party:shrug:.
Just to clarify, Carlan, Mr. Romney is considered to be a moderate, if not northeastern liberal, Republican…not a conservative (at least by knuckle dragging right wingers like myself). If there are people who are going to hold their nose, it will be the right wing, not the mainstream GOPe (GOP Establishment).

If there was, say, a Clintonesque person in office versus the current individual who is squatting at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, I would be sorely, sorely pressed to make a protest vote this year…

To re-emphasize, that is NOT because Mr. Romney is too conservative…just the opposite.

Really? I heard tonight that, according to the Marist poll, Obama is leading Romney beyond the statistical margin of error in three critical swing states: Ohio, Florida, and Virginia, as well as trouncing him in Michigan and even not too far behind in Montana, of all places. We (conservatives and liberals) seem to live in parallel universes, or maybe perpendicular ones!
NBC/WSJ poll breakdown was

Ohio - 38 democrat, 28 republican, 32 independent

Virginia - 31 democrat, 26 republican, 43 independent

Florida, 35 democrat, 33 republican, 30 independent

10 point oversample for democrats in Ohio? And Obama’s leading?

That was also taken september 9th to 11th so Obama likely got a convention bounce in the poll

Real clear politics average is calcuilating an average based on polls which are heavly oversampling democrats, if you combine that with polls showing voter tuthnsiam for demcorats is below republicans and national polls showing Romney with a good lead with independents poll reliability is becoming questionable

RCP’s average have Obama up 0.4 in Virginia, 1.3 in Florida based on polls with democrat oversamples

Polls, polls. The newest Rasmussen poll has Romney up.

Given Obama’s failures in all aspect of his presdency, its a wonder that he isn’t down by 10 or more points. Give it time. The mainstream press can only protect him for so long.

Ishii
Obama is most likely not down by 10 or more points due to the skill of his campaign, the gaffes of Romney’s campaign, and the perceived weakness and lack of appeal of the Republican candidate himself.

If Romney was a weak candidate he would be not be where he is in the polls and gaining in swing states when Obama is declining in his lead such as Virginia

Gaffes? Obama saying Egypt was not all ally and the state department correcting him?

Who matters in those polls are neither Dems nor Repubs.

Just the moderate indies…

If Romney cant get them, he is done.

Actually you have it 100% backwards.

Just curious - what “direction” do you think the US is headed?

I think we are headed towards slow decline, massive unemployment, currency devaluation and higher interest rates. I would like the compass to point a new direction.

Even worse - Jimmy Carter is correcting him too. MSM was on full alert this morning with every single one (including FOX) interviewing Obama administration staff that were explain what Barry said isn’t what he meant. 🤷

You know things are bad when a failed president has to correct another fail president.

Romney’s only strategy should be attack, attack, attack. Don’t be afraid to tell the truth about Barack Obama, Mitt, b/c the entire free nation will perish if you lose! 😦 Rob

Ya-I couldn’t believe Romeny said Egypt, was not an ally and apologized to the Muslims for our embassies being attacked, Oh wait a minute-that was Obama who did that!

This business in Libya is probably messing up his programming schedule and he’s desperate to get re-elected.

Obama doesn’t look presidential a fair amount of the time. He plays golf a LOT. And he refuses to attend his own security briefings more than half the time. Does he think he already knows everything?
Good “code”, but without a link/source, highly unbelievable, IMO.

😃

It is documented Obama skips half his security breifings:

As for playing golf

cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-57454890-503544/president-obama-plays-100th-round-of-golf-draws-fire-from-critics/

I agree is unbelievable that a president would be so irresponsible but its true.
From Newsmax article:
His predecessor, George W, Bush made a point of having the meetings six days a week, and attending as many as possible, the American Enterprise Institute fellow, Marc Thiessen reports in the Washington Post.
Obama’s attendance figures were prepared by the conservative Government Accountability Institute, and were not disputed by the White House. At one point he was attending fewer than two meetings out of five.
What a nebulous statement…wonder why they didn’t give a firm number? Surely that information is available.

John

LOL! It’s funny cuz it’s true.

Obama was probably one of the least qualified presidents, ever.
And yet the majority of Catholics voted for him then and will probably vote for him again.
Hmmmmm, I have to wonder what that really means.

:ehh:

Friendly wager on your analysis?

A LOT has changed since 2008, aside from the Chope™ (“Where Change meets Hope”) wearing off.
