Mixed "sleep-over"?

I would never allow my kid to attend a sleep-over party like that. My husband used to belong to a parish youth group that had coed sleep-over parties and he told me there were a lot of ‘hook-ups’ between boys and girls. Some of the nasty things he told me about…

Also, don’t put it past kids nowadays…a school near me was in the local paper because of what went on during a sixth grade science class. While the teacher was lecturing, a girl was busy giving a boy ‘head’.

Guys, I think you are perfectly capable of raising children who know what to do. You could even go so far as to see this as a “test”, to see how your raising is working. Let’s just hope you don’t fail

But in all seriousness, I really don’t believe 11 & 12 year old kids, who are properly raised, would think of committing such heinous acts, especially considering they should be raised to maintain loyalty to their teachings.

First, it’s dangerous to assume that every kid in the youth group has been properly raised, and it only takes one to cause trouble. Some of them are in the youth group for the purpose of exposing them to “good kids” for the first time in their lives.

Second, kids aren’t as good as they like their parents to think they are. They do lots of things that they never tell their parents about.
