ANY “faith tradition” that pulls people away from God is evil…
They worship a creator They might call it something different, but the principle is the same, no? They are also bound by a law not to harm another. Aren’t those the two principles of Christianity?

Imagine if you will someone who does not believe in the devil.
Then.
They start worshipping a being they call a god.
However, this god is not a god at all, but a demon.
But, they don’t believe in demons.
Are they still worshipping a demon?

Now say that they are given about 50 right answers for a hundred questions.
Some morality, some not.
They start having mystical experiences by their “god”.
They then start doing things that are bad according to God, but according to their demon, it’s actually fine.
Choose anything, say free love and they start championing sodomy or polyamorous relationships or what have you. Hey, marriage is so out dated anyway, right?

How does one easily pull them out of this in a kind way?
Perhaps honesty?

The lady claims to be a high priestess, making a mockery of Christ’s Priesthood. They chant to someone, presumably the devil. All this I saw in the first glance at the article and the first seconds of the video. I do not need to see any more. These people are not merely misguided, they are spending time in elaborately arranged activities that blasphemously imitate and intentionally pervert Catholic worship. This greatly offends God. I do hope He shows them mercy, but I cannot say they are simply mistaken.
Wiccans have priests and priestesses, as do many other faith traditions. They chant as a form of prayer or within their rituals. They do NOT worship any devils. There are Satanists who do, but they are not of the Wiccan fold. Perhaps you might want to read up on something for accuracy before you post. Just a suggestion.

They don’t merely call their “creator” something different, they acknowledge a false creator. Morality doesn’t make up the whole picture- and if it did, they still wouldn’t have the whole picture because their morality doesn’t perfectly mirror ours. Maybe they’re right on some, or even several, things, but they ultimately don’t have the fullness of truth.

Prayer is directed to God. If not God then to a god. All other gods are either demons or the devil himself.

A nursing student from Novel Hays bible college. Was delivered from demonic deception. She had numerous assignments.when she was a wicken . in church or outside. She recognized her freedom from demonic deception.

Wiccans call on the powers of nature. The masculine and feminine powers they call the horned god and mother godess respectively. They do not believe in good or evil as such, thus part of their creed ‘do no harm’.

Something I learned from a solitary witch that I found horrifying was the belief that the human soul doesn’t enter the body until the age of reason. The ability to reason being the sign that the child has become more than an animal, thus making children under the age of reason subject to sacrifice.
I note that that debate rages on in our courts today for how old a child in the womb can be to be subject to sacrifice.
I do believe there are sincere seekers of the good in the wiccan belief system. I don’t believe Wicca to be a valid path to God though.

Any faith tradition, whatever that is, that directs people away from the head, and body, towards t(e heart, is good.

According to our faith there are two communities of spirits. One holy the other fallen.

Wiccans call on the powers of nature and their own familiar spirits.

Wicca is an earthly culture that seeks out a spiritual community for goods and resources.

The Church is a spiritual community that seeks out earthly cultures for goods and resources.
I think the distintion is plain.

For me the difference between a good faith system and one not so good is whether there view of the afterlife. They believe in a version of reincarnation which for me makes them a good faith system.

No. Particularly if that “faith tradition” gets in the way of someone accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior.

isn’t “wicca” essentially paganism?

so, if that is true, rejecting the existence of God is a “beautiful” way of life?

no, thank you. not something i can get on board with…

Generalizations about witchcraft or Wicca are not very accurate. There is no central authority and witches are encouraged to find their own path, nonetheless, it can be said that from a natural perspective the practices are good.

From a supernatural view, it’s evil. They do not believe in the true God. All good must be done for the love of God, else there is no merit. God is offended by worship of any other god. As already stated, they worship demons. They lack substantial means for acquiring grace.

Wicca’s an ancient tradition. The Catholic Church absorbed a number of the practices.

I can see the appeal of it. I considered getting into it some years ago. I eventually decided to just return to the Catholic Church in a big way instead. Less possibility of ending up on a wrong path that way, as I do believe that even “white witchcraft” practices open a door that can let unwanted bad things in along with whatever good things you are inviting.

The main danger of witchcraft, to my mind, is the same as other occult things. People are individual practicitioners; for the most part they don’t know what they’re doing and kind of bumble along; many of them are not very stable to begin with, or are weak or impressionable. Things go haywire easily.

Is this a joke? Do you know what God did to pagans and earth worshippers in the old testament?
