It depends what else you read after the name mohammad because its mentioned in the bible that jesus said that a man named mohamed will come after me
Please state your source & NT passage for this - because I know the NT and no where does it state what you claim.

Thanks!

I think he is referring to John 14:16 (Douay-Rheims)
And I will ask the Father, and he shall give you another Paraclete, that he may abide with you for ever.

(well if not him I’ve heard most muslems believe that passage is about muhammed)

some of this is repeat

in general
מַחְמַד
def > desirable, delight to one’s eyes
pointing right-left: patach (‘ah’), shewa (here silent), patach (‘ah’)
mahch-mahd , just 2 syl, not 3 as in moo/mo-ham-mad

in Song 5:16
מַחֲמַדִּים noun masculine plural absolute
pointing right-left: patach (‘ah’), hateph patach (‘ah’), patach (‘ah’), hireq yod (‘ee’)
mah-chah-mah-deem, accent on last syl
different than: moo/mo-hammad

both have same 3-letter root as
תַחְמֹד found in Ex 20:17
thou shall not covet
def > desire and try to acquire, crave, covet

I wouldn’t want a name in which there is a 3-letter Hebrew root which can mean crave/covet

It’s an Islamic nonsense… don’t pay to much attention to it…
Isn’t the Song of Solomon a chapter that muslims always say about it that it is a chapter that talks about sexual things, and describing a woman in a sexual way… bla.bla.bla…
If that’s so, then how do you accept that the name of your prophet is mentioned in that “sexual chapter”??
Shouldn’t you be ashamed of that?

Attention !
You haven’t the right to classify the Bible as"sexual chapters" and “non sexual chapters” !

Bro, I’m only using the same lexical terms used by muslims when they speak about the Song of Solomon …
They see it as a sexual chapter, and we go arguing the whole day about it trying to explain to them that it’s not a sexual chapter, rather it’s all symbols…

Yes John Paul Jones ~ I knew where he was going with this:

For the new muslim poster AZ786 -

Please read the entire paragraph and notice what I will bold in black for your review so you may understand that it is not talking about mohamad.

Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit

15“If you love me, you will obey what I command.

16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever—

17the Spirit of truth. **The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. **

18I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

19Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live.

20On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.

21Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.”

~ AZ ~ notice that Jesus stated that the world will neither see him or know him - therefore it is the Holy Spirit and **NOT **a human person as you claim to be mohamad.

The prophet of islam was human and **not **a spirit

We’ve been down this road before, many times.
I hope he returns to address the posts - we have had many new muslims come into CAF, drop one or 2 posts & then disappear.

I have a funny suspicion that he was only here to “promote” this “peaceTV” channel and nothing else. BUT, I could be wrong… 🤷

Song of Solomon 5
**10 My lover is radiant and ruddy,
outstanding among ten thousand. **

I think that the above verse might be related to the following verses:

"And this [is] the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death. And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand [went] a fiery law for them."Deuteronomy 33:1-2

"Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him."Jude 1:14-15

In fact, I opened a thread on this subject once.

And so, I do indeed think that the name of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) might be mentioned in the Song of Solomon.

But then again, it might not.

In all the time since I have been at CAF, I have asked Christians innumerable ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ questions on various aspects of their faith… but alas, I have not received either ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ answers to my questions… even to questions concerning the core beliefs of Christianity.

Like I have said before, it is not an issue for me if people say that the name of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) does not appear in the Song of Solomon.

Would you please answer my question regarding the name “mohamad” - since it means the praised one, does that mean that whomever was named mohamad during your prophets time are also considered “the praised one”…???

The Jews are God’s chosen and He spoke to them through the Prophets. Arabs just could not live with this so we now have Mohammed and islam…a theocracy with a central theme of Arabic supremacy and their god which coincidentally happens to hate all of their perceived enemies. Sometimes the truth is not pretty. 😊

I do wish he answers my question regarding the name - but also, he hasn’t answered my question regarding the whole chapter 5 of Songs - does he & Meedo honestly believe that poem is written about mohamad.

Because the verse with “altogether lovely” and the “10 thousands” is the only thing they are picking out from the entire poem - it just does not make any sense.

Come on guys, you know giving a truthful straight forward answer is beyond hammy’s capabilities. He is muslim, he has only been taught to answer a question by
  1. talking around in circles
  2. lying to protect his false religion
  3. change the subject.
  4. doesnt answer the question.
  5. or attempts to throw a bit in of each of these

I am not aware of anyone who shared the name of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) during his time.

It is possible perhaps, it is just that I am not aware of it.

In any case, I can make this same argument about the name of just about any religious or historical figure and so I do not see the relevance of your point.

Thank you, I am now aware of it.

BTW, are there any other paintings in history that are named either ‘Mona’ or ‘Lisa’?

It is possible I think, it is just that I am not aware of it.

There was one other person by the name of momahad mentioned in Bukhari - but if I remember correctly, muslims claims that the prophet was the first to be called that.

So my point is that anyone named mohamad yesterday, today & tommorow & 1400 years ago are also “the praised one” - and that the claim that mohamad was the only one during his time which held that name is in error…

If muslims will stick to the claim that John 14 speaks about mohamads comming and that you all translate the word “comforter” into mohamad, how do you know which mohamad this verse applies to…???

And if you noticed the Biblical prophets - God spoke to them - God never spoke to mohamad - God sends his angels with a message and then they return back to God -

If you read the Bible, God has never sent his angel(2) to reveal/administer “new” scripture.

**Mona - Lisa have nothing to do with the subject at hand Hamba - do not re-rail the thread

We don’t want mod “Eric H” coming by to shut it down - Thanks!**
