So Catholics can’t believe The Quran? Muslims can’t believe the Catechism?

I was born and raised Catholic. But on the verge of converting to Islam until I read a certain passage in the book, that says Jesus was not crucified. And I do believe Jesus was God, even though at times I have my doubts. We are human aren’t we all? The only problem I have here is the Catholics disrespect of Islam. Because of reasons I have posted, but still…

Evangelicals and Born Again Christians, etc. I don’t expect respect for Islam on their side, but Catholicism is a different story, in my opinion. 🤷

Why because Muhammad wasn’t mentioned in The Bible? (Back to the topic, huh.)

No you are right, it’s not disrespectful to differ. But I don’t think there’s something wrong with pointing out similarities between monotheist religions either.

Yes we know, because The Quran deeply emphasizes the oneness of Allah. But than we have the argument of the contradictions of The Bible too. God is one. So how does God manifest himself in man with the help of a Holy Spirit, if God is spirit himself?

But does that make any sense? Of course God is in no way limited to man’s rules, but how would God, who is a spirit according to Jesus, manifest himself in a man, with help from ‘The Holy Spirit’. Why would God need any help. See? He is one. And why would God who manifested himself into a man, call himself ‘Son’?

Really?
Jesus being a Jew had an incomplete faith alongwith his mother, then ?

Just answer my question :
**Jesus being a Jew had an incomplete faith alongwith his mother, then ? **

From what period/century/date, Judaism became an “incomplete faith”, if it was complete during Jesus’ time?

Since it has become an incomplete faith [from your standpoint], then, are all Jews of “Now” destined to Hell ?

You don’t have to answer my questions if you feel difficult to answer, Jharek. Someone else with your caliber and hold same views, can reply in a cool manner.

Thanks in advance.

…Chapter 3: How generation applies to God
First of all we must observe that Muslims are silly in ridiculing us for holding that Christ is the Son of the living God, as if God had a wife. Since they are carnal, they can think only of what is flesh and blood. For any wise man can observe that the mode of generation is not the same for everything, but generation applies to each thing according to the special manner of its nature. In animals it is by copulation of male and female; in plants it is by pollination or generation, and in other things in other ways.
God, however, is not of a fleshly nature, requiring a woman to copulate with to generate offspring, but He is of a spiritual or intellectual nature, much higher than every intellectual nature. So generation should be understood of God as it applies to an intellectual nature. Even though our own intellect falls far short of the divine intellect, we still have to speak of the divine intellect by comparing it with what we find in our own intellect. …
The rest is here Reasons For The Faith Against Muslim Objections by Saint Thomas Aquinas.

Of course though, Jesus himself never taught the Trinity, and never said God is 3 in one, he said God is one. I shouldn’t sit here and say I don’t understand the Trinity, because I do, at times, however it doesn’t make sense sometimes.

Jesus says he and The Father are one, but in John 17 he tells us we all can be one like he is.

Also, for example, the link Sedonaman provided (thanks by the way), in it, it says…
So, as divine things are expressed in human terms, the very love coming from God is called a spirit.
Therefore we fittingly call his love not simply Spirit, but the Holy Spirit, since holiness refers to his purity.
…which is implying The Holy Spirit is God’s love? But in 1 John 4:8, we’re told God IS love. So why have God’s love part of a trinity?

Than we go to the passage where Muslims believe Muhammad is being spoken about… (John 16)… while it would make sense Jesus referring to The Holy Spirit as ‘he’, because if The Holy Spirit is really God’s love, and God IS love… than ‘he’ is God (as the Trinity does tell us). But why would Jesus have to go, in order for him to send ‘the Comforter’ (aka The Holy Spirit which according to Saint Thomas Aquinas is God’s love) to us? You follow? If the Holy Spirit is eternal, omnipresent and omnipotent, why would it have to be sent?

Doesn’t it feel like a dog chasing it’s tail?

I use the term God Club, when I refer to a members only religion. whose members say God laid the foundations of their God Club/ Religion— I never refer to a person, you have a vivid imagination,

Many religions have been build on foundations soaked in the blood of humanity. I don’t believe Christ would like that,

Tens of millions have been butchered in the name of religion in the Middle East,

I was reading Jewish encyclopedea about what happened to the Jews/Judaism in the past during Papacy.

To the OP, I can recall few verses in the Old Testament that say about muhammad’s name and reputation.

Here are some of those verses:

“But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded him to say, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, must be put to death. You may say to yourselves, ‘How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the LORD?’** If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously. Do not be afraid of him**.” Deuteronomy 18:20-22

“Then the LORD said to me, “The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries and the delusions of their own minds.” Jeremiah 14:14

“And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.” Numbers 12:6

What I heard from Muslims is they believe in principle that revelations of God were sent down to the previous prophets but unfortunately their contents were not preserved properly by their followers. Furthermore their messages were limited to their nations-not universal.

And according toa Muslim scholar, Muslims are not required to read or look for Bible or anyother religious book. On the contrary, they challange other religious authorities to produce their evidence if their books are of God and yet free from contradictions.

Unfortunately, Christians who consider Bible to be inspired by God are in trouble because they cannot face this challenge of Muslims, since Bible does contain lots of contradictions alongwith interpolations.

But what about…

“I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.” Deuteronomy 18:18

JWs are Witnesses of God’s glory, and not of every bit of Bibles you hold that contain lots of contradictions and interpolations.

JWs alongwith the Anglicans, are still in process of refining the TEXT of various Bibles, in order to get to what could be the actual text and actual meaning, since the ‘most most ancient manuscripts’ are yet to be discovered.

In this sense, Christian faith too is incomplete. Though it is not our mistake, but if any Christain thinks that he has true and accurate and complete knowledge/sayings/utterings of Jesus, he is guilty of such nonsense and hopefully will be punished by attributing such falsehood to Jesus and God.

The oldest manuscripts discovered so far, do not go back to the period of Jesus Christ. One main reason is persecution of early True Followers of Jesus Christ who did not even called themselves as ‘Christians’. Enemies of Jesus Christ labelled them long after Jesus, out of sheer ignorance or hatred towards them, since Jesus was not worshipped by early followers of Jesus. They were simply Followers of the Way.
