Never had problems with living the life of a Mormon. I was very devout and TBM. But I stopped believing in their core and foundational doctrines. My reason for leaving was that I was unwilling to live with the restrictions. Word of Wisdom, etc. And I was sick of living a double life, smoking while under a covenant to not do so, etc. Like Pope Francis says re Celibacy, regardless of whether it’s right, if you promise not to marry then you don’t get married! If you get married then leave the Order that requires celibacy. I wasn’t living up to the covenant so I left it.
So I knew it was time to leave. I couldnt stay in good conscience and pretend I still believed…So I understand what you are saying about you werent living according to the covenants you made, so you left…
I’ll pray for your discernment process during Holy Week next week.
God Bless.
