Where did the Rome Mormon temple dedication thread go?
 
ah ah he is a naughty boy/girl. Hey Irishman where are you from, I am of Irish descent, I know, like so many, but are you in Ireland or like me a descendant living elsewhere. BTW how do you know he was banned, I never know how to find this info

look at threads where posted…under his name, it says “banned”

My grandparent’s came over from County Cork in the 1950’s. My family is currently living in Pittsburgh, PA but I’m at school right now in Idaho.

If you look at the thread “why would anyone want to be a mormon or jehovah witnesses. part 2” and see Mathonihah’s posts, under his name will show “banned” where it normally shows “regular member” or “trial membership”
 
I missed the thread… but if there’s an LDS temple being built and they haven’t dedicated it, you can usually visit before hand in a ‘open house.’

What you’ll find on the inside is surprising - the one I was was not like a cathedral at all, but a whole bunch of smaller rooms for the differing services that go on.

You didn’t miss much, it was one’s person attempt to smear the LDS temple being built in Rome into the faces of CAF members.

I remember watching the GC when Monson announced that the temple in Rome would be built. He was very smug and the audience laughed and clapped.

My family is from Limerick County.

100% Irish, and darn proud of it!!

I always like to say: “I wasn’t being rude, I was being honest. It’s genetic!!” LOL

Now I have to ask, where does the ‘pekin’ come in? and I am very proud of my Irish roots, it is through them to some extent that I am Catholic now
 
The mormon temple in Rome is just a slap in the face to the CC. I wonder if the people they let in will be “temple worthy” or if there will be a fee to enter?

With the name “peking” you are 100% Irish? All this time I assumed you were of Asian descent!

I’m 50% Irish (my relatives came from Tipperary long ago) and 50% Sicilian. Watch out! 😃

So that’s where my “being direct” gene comes from, huh? I knew that is where I got my practical side from…

I said the same thing on the other thread and was asked by one Mormon poster “Why do you feel it is an affront to your Church”?

I didn’t get time to reply before the thread vanished. The best way I can think of describing this is that it is like having the guy that is out to steal your girl move in next door and then invite you over to a house warming party. I might come over to knock his teeth down his throat (in a charitable manner, of course) but I’m not going to go to wish him success.

I think Pekin (no g) is refering to a town in Illinois.
 
I am Irish on dad’s side and English Celtic on Mom’s side. We all have red or blond hair.

Where will the funding come from for the Rome Temple, I doubt very many Italians will convert to Mormonism.
