The problem is, I don’t keep it in my pocket. But there are some CHRISTIAN scholars who is supposed to provide the evidence for those additions and removals. Why don’t you get to them since it’s your faith hanging on the rope? The scholars worked behind NIV version is supposed to give you the evidence for the comment,

((The most reliable early manuscripts and other ancient witnesses do not have Mark 16:9-20.))

The scholars worked behind RSV, NIV, NASB, GWT, ASV,BBE, DBY, WEY, WEB etc. si supposed to give you the evidence for the removal of trinity concept from 1 John 5:7. Go, get them.
So some Christians say it’s so, so it must be! Rather selective of you; to only accept what they say that confirms anything you already believe

On interpreting the Holy Spirit as Mohammed… I don’t know of any books that reference that particular argument, but start to look at a lot of Christian/Muslim “debates” or apologetics discussions and you will start to see it come up a few times on the Muslim side.

EDIT: search for the word “comforter” when you open this link and you will find a good example of this. You’ll never guess who it’s from! 😃

Thank you for the link.
I’ve read the explanation of the “link” from the Holy Spirit to Mohammed. It wasn’t very convincing, to say the least!

I guessed right :o

Khalfan’s quoted some verses of the Bible as being ‘correct’ (in line with his Koran)

But, as per the OP, is there any list of all verses that are properly inspired in the Bible (as according to Islam)?

Where is this Moslem approved Bible?

How about a Bible with the good bits underlined?

I don’t think it is an (name removed by moderator)ossible task but I don’t really if anyone have done that. I will let you know if there is something as requested. By the way, there is another scholarly solution for the similarities and differences in the gospels, called ‘Q Gospels’. I think that work do show some islamic claims.

That’s all I ask:p

The problems for “Q” are for another thread, however there’s no evidence for “Q”

The idea for “Q” is that because several of the synoptic gospels are similar there must have been a common source that they all used - Quelle being ‘source’ in German, hence “Q”.

The problem with this is that of course they’d be similar as they’re accounting for the same events.

((The most reliable early manuscripts and other ancient witnesses do not have Mark 16:9-20.))

Those most reliable early manuscripts and other ancient witnesses are supposed to be valid for all christians.

1 John 5:7 is missing in few catholic bibles as well like NAB while it is there in other catholic bible as DRheims. Will you go to them now?

No evidence is needed, to prove a negative argument. But if you have any evidence on your part, you can try and disprove it. There is no original manuscript of any part of the Quran (the originals were written on separate pieces of whatever objects people could get a hold of at the time of each revelation) in existence today. If you find one that does exist, let me know.
I will.

I am not going to do **your research **for you. If you can not cite your sources I can not take your allegations seriously. You even say “supposed” so how serious can they be? If they really proved Christians wrong I would think you would carry it in your pocket. I guess you place as much stock in them as I do.

My faith is quite secure thanks! It does not relay on the word of one man you failed to cite his sources as well. How’s yours?

This is enough for me

Is there any copy of the Bible a Moslem can show me with all the corrupted bits highlighted? (A Moslem approved translation of the Bible)

It can’t be all corrupted because there’s so many Moslems out there using selected Biblical verses to show that Muhammed was prophecised
Surely a Muslim Bible is a contradiction.

The Sacred Scriptures are the property of the Church whose Scriptures they are 👍

Well I believe it might well be. But, the point of my thread here is to show that Moslems can’t agree on what to do *about *the Bible

They argue that the message of God is not there in a pure form - that it’s been corrupted.

That’s well and good, but then why do Moslems continually quote from it in order to prove Islamic points - such as that Muhammed was foretold of?

This is simply another point where Moslems wish several arguments at once.

A paradoxical situation they have got themselves into 😃

I will.

The original manuscripts of the Qur’an are no longer extant. The only original that Khalfan gets a copy of will have to be via time travel.

The answer is simple, they are in contradiction. What is worse they see not their Error of quoting the Bible on a regular basis in order to prove their points. 😦
It shows how far gone Islamic thinking is from logic.
Unable to get his head around this Khalfan just continues to keep quoting from it.
It’s like he’s on autopilot
Yes, Robotic like, with programming that is one way in thought.
I have given it already in Post No. 14 onwQUOTEards…/]

I’m still yet to fully understand this, but I think it’s in the nature of Islam to blanket one to logic - I think it’s the way they teach it - which is to make people endlessly repeat it.

Satan is a master at deception and these people so willingly serve him
