Mother Mary. Why would take your eyes off Jesus and focus on her?

Your reason is to love and serve God, desiring, in this past 500 years of division, to seek the One True Church. Ultimately, it boils down to two ancient communities, and they were formerly one and will be One. Trace it back, all the way back, unless you want to risk your salvation on the personal opinions of men - European men 1,500 years after Christ.
They radically reversed much of what Christ taught and passed on via His Apostles. The True Church requires, as Christ required, that you first deny yourself, then take up your cross, and only then, follow Him. Look at the orders of religious: Sisters and Brothers. They deny themselves of everything but food and a roof.
Search for the very bones of Saints Peter and Paul. Were are they and how did they get there? Look at western civilization. The scientific method, university systems, hospitals, the legal system in which you are presumed innocent. None of this came from the reformers - they inherited it from the Catholic Church.
There is not a reformation community on earth that meets that. It’s all easy peasy. Go to the “worship service” when you feel like it. Don’t confess sin and hear the words of absolution (Mark 2:5, Luke 5:20, 7:48), Don’t believe that the bread and wine become His Body and Blood - even though He said so in clear and plain language.
Look at which Church repelled repeated Islamic invasions - the reformation did not do that; if anything, it contributed to much of it by dividing and weakening Christendom. Look for the Church which gave the world the bible. Look for the Church which Christ founded on Apostles - never mentioning a peep about a scriptural foundation.
And on and on and on…

Mary being the Queen of Heaven is a cheat. I believe that She is, but I don’t believe it’s fair. The logic is that Mary is highest because She didn’t sin and said yes to God in a “unique way”, but that’s the point; We couldn’t have done this. God could’ve saved us from Original Sin, but He chose not to, and instead load hacks into Mary to falsely exalt Her.
Not to mention Mary’s status degrades the Human Man, as we are essentially getting punished for not having a reproduction organ. If I could’ve given birth to Christ I would’ve gladly done so, but instead we’re getting guided to salvation by the very creatures that lead us into sin. God has essentially created all males to be inferior to the woman save Himself.
Mary makes being a male borderline shameful, let alone one living in 2017 A.D.

That would go for Jesus too.
Then he shouldn’t have put that tree in the Garden either. Free will is a mistake too. So is everything that makes us human.

I’ve heard it said that Mary rescuing Eve is very poetic. A woman made the mess let a woman clean it! Besides a woman like Mary is everything a man could want. Could never find a better wife.You forget, God came down here as one of us guys.

Are you sure you would have loved God like Mary did if you were born sinless?
You got a point about Jesus. But look at it this way. God came down as a member of our team so nature would be kept in it’s proper order.

As high of an honor as that would be, I don’t think I’d want to be Mary. I would do a lousy job as the Mother of God, and I don’t know how I could bear to watch my son and God be killed in the most gruesome way I would have ever heard of at that time. She did better than I ever could hope.

Hello my brother , praise the Lord for your concern on Mary. Its a difficult situation and a Unbelievable Miracle to believe.
First i ask do you want an answer to accept or just a Answer to Argue.
That makes a big difference bevause if we answer you but you dont want to accept it there we go in circles.
As for Romans 3:23 your just interpretating as you see it , the Dr. of the church for the last 2000 years have read this Scripture and never ignored it.
This verse didn’t come out last week.

To look at Mary is not to focus on her, but is to see Jesus magnified.
Mary’s soul ‘magnifies’ the Lord.

The verse there is not to be taken in as an all inclusive statements.
Jesus too was not only God but Man. If one takes the “all” in that fashion then one would have to include him too. And since he did not sin…nor do babies…the “all” there has exceptions. Such as Mary who God made and preserved that way as a fitting Mother of Jesus.

It is a mistaken idea that we “take our eyes off Jesus” to focus on Mary.
I also do not take my eyes off Jesus in my turning towards my wife or children in love.
Jesus is the Lord!
Mary points to Jesus. Her light is his light.
Loving her does not diminish my love for God - it rather is directed towards the Holy Trinity. My love for my wife too is not there to dimish my love for Jesus…nor require me to take my eyes of Faith off Jesus - while looking at my wife.
