Since you are older we should all listen to you right? You have all the answers to our questions. Anyways, earlier you replied to me by saying, <If people “knew what they were talking about” they wouldn’t be asking the questions.> But how can you answer ANY questions when you are afraid to. Let me post up what you wrote earlier to on February 17, 2006, 05:45 AM, quote # 142 to eaglesmark, “I’m a little scared to answer your question directly…” How can an apologist answer questions if he is afraid to? Well there goes for being a apologist!

We pray for one another as Christians, thus acting - in a sense - as mediators. The saints who have died are included in this process, since they are more alive than we are, as is evident in their activities in the book of Revelation; and Mary is the supreme saint. Jesus is the “chief” Sheperd of his flock (Jn 10:11-16), yet he assigns lesser sheperds to watch over his own (Jn 21:15-17; Eph 4-11). Several biblical passages indicate a sort of mediatorship among believer (1 Cor 9-22; Eph 3:2; 1 Tm 4-16) and our working together with God (1 Cor 3-9; 2 Cor 6-1).

Although you have not used the “quote” feature provided, I presume you are responding to my shocked reaction to your response to Kitty Chan, “Let me instruct you.”

My diffidence in responding to eaglesmark had to do with the complexity of the problem, and the ease with which nuances are missed and the written word may be misunderstood.

You came into this thread with something like 7 posts behind you, obviously without having read this lengthy discussion, and presumed to “instruct” a person with whom we have been is pleasant dialogue for several days, exploring one of the most difficult aspects of the Faith for non-Catholics.

I did not claim any privilege because of my age (although I was reading the New Testament in Greek when you were still watching Sesame Street). I pointed out that at the age of 18, any Catholic is be expected to behave with charity, civility and decency to an honest inquirer, which our friend, Kitty Chan, has shown herself to be.

Common decency is nothing more than the rule on these forums.

And still you do not answer the question, why are you an apologist if you are afraid to answer questions? Secondly, to be educating people on religious matters, I have to ask you, what are your credentials? You claim to know a lot but I need to know what credentials you have. Thirdly, you don’t seem to be treating me with charity, civility and decency, you seem to be ridiculing me, “(although I was reading the New Testament in Greek when you were still watching Sesame Street).” Finally, since you like to ridicule people, maybe I can **instruct ** you on moral behavior. May I also suggest the book, Catholicism and Life , that should teach you on moral behaior towards others.Remember what Jesus said, “Do to others whatever you would have them do to you.” (Matthew 7:12). Read it and memorize it!!!
