I will pray for your mother mother all day tommorow including daily mass. I would suggest to pray to Saint Peregrine, who is the patron saint of cancer.

***O great St. Peregrine, you have been called “The Mighty,” “The Wonder-Worker,” because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you.

For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fibre of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more. You were favoured with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction. Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of the sick whom we entrust to you.
(Pause here and silently recall the names of the sick for whom you are praying)
Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy.
Amen. ***

Carrie,
I’m praying for your Mother now.
I know first hand how hard it is for you
during this trial, and I am also saying special prayers for you.
God Bless
Pam

For Carrie’s Mother, for Jsmith’s Mother and for all involved.:signofcross:

Praying very hard to St. Peregrine for you mother’s complete recovery!

Thank you all so much for your prayers. The surgery went fine and the doctor said that, as far as he could tell, he got all of the cancer, but we won’t know for sure until the pathology report with the microscopic exam comes back in a couple of days. They did the surgery outpatient, and Mother is at home resting and wouldn’t even let me stay and make supper for them. She is kind of funny about other people messing in her kitchen. Whatever…

My almost-ex SIL had the nerve to show up to “offer support.” Um, OK…after she has bad-mouthed my brother all over town and done some evil, conniving things to hurt him. I do know that her family thrives on drama, and there is no better place than the hospital to get all dramatic. My brother stayed home because he has a bad cold and didn’t want to spread his germs, so at least we didn’t have a scene. I decided to be the “bad guy” and ask her to leave, knowing that her presence would upset my mother. I did it as diplomatically as possible, saying that Mom wouldn’t want for her to see her when she is all doped up after surgery and not feeling well. SIL acted all nicey-nice and understanding, but I know how two-faced she can be, and I’d bet that at this very moment, she is twisting my words around and telling people what a b!+ch I am. Well, too bad. I have already offered up the day’s sufferings for my mother’s healing, so whatever insults are being flung about will just add to this.

Thank you again, and God bless you all. I’m headed out to daily Mass, and I will pray for all of your intentions as well, esp. those of you who have loved ones with cancer.

*Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death. Amen. *

Merciful Lord, we lift CarrieH’s mother up to you, knowing of your unfathomable love for her. We ask that you grant her a medical staff which will radiate Your Divine Love to all around them. We ask that You command every cancerous cell of her body to be healed. Surround mom with the love of her family and friends, supporting her in this difficult time. Grant that she offer her suffering up to Christ as a penance, so that not one bit of her suffering is wasted. In the fulness of time, heal her O Heavenly Father, that she may proclaim Your Mighty Name! We ask this through Christ, our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen! Alleluia!

Praying for your mother, CarrieH.
