😃 My family is going again and making the 2 hour trip to San Antonio and 2 of the theaters are almost sold out!!! (which is a bummer for us because we have to choose a later show, but still a great thing for BELLA)

See the movie today!!! 😃

I am going to go see it in about an hour. I had to drive 2 hours to get to a theatre that is close to my wife’s sisters house. We are going together.

God Bless
Scylla

I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the movie when I went to see it with some people from my school. I thought I was just going to hang out since I had nothing better to do and wasn’t expecting much from this movie thinking it was a chick flick. However, I thought it was good and was glad I went.

A friend of mine from church took me today.

Amazing movie, I didn’t expect to cry, but I did.

IF I read my theater site correctly, it IS coming here on Friday!! HERE, just ten min or less away from me! YES!

:extrahappy:

Great news! Please see the below update on BELLA:

“BELLA had another amazing performance at the box office this weekend, giving us the momentum we need for a large expansion,” said executive producer Sean Wolfington. “Thanks to strong word-of-mouth support, BELLA will expand to nearly 50 new cities in the coming weeks. We couldn’t be happier or more thankful for the tremendous support audiences have shown BELLA thus far.”
  • BELLA grossed over $1 million this weekend, maintaining its spot as the only film on less than 300 screens to rank in the top 20.
  • BELLA’s per screen average of $5,381 “continued to surprise” according to IndieWire.com, finishing third behind new releases “American Gangster” and “Bee Movie”, both with estimated budgets in excess of $100 million.
  • BELLA continued to show resilience on Sunday, indicating abnormally strong word-of-mouth momentum from the previous two days. While every other film’s ticket sales declined by a minimum of 30% from Saturday to Sunday, BELLA dipped a mere 1.8%.
As a result of BELLA’s performance this weekend, Roadside Attractions will expand BELLA’s release to nearly 50 additional cities in the next two weeks. Specific theaters in each city can be found online at www.bellatheaters.com.

Amazing! IT is coming to Seattle. Let’s see the 40 days for life just ended and Bella is coming to Seattle, of all places! Coincidence? I think not!

Here I have been looking for the theatres where it will be showing
this weekend and I find that one of the theatres listed for El Paso,
Texas shows that it opened on October 26th!!! I can’t tell if it
was shown for a week or two or anything. The website had it
changed to open on Nov. 9th and one theatre does show it opening on Nov. 9th. (Theatre is as far from me as possible
and still be in El Paso) The other theatre was a little closer.
What’s my point?
WE are going to work harder to let people know when and where
to go to this movie. I’m going to start calling the different theatres
and ask them why it’s not showing in my part of town, etc.
I wanted to go at least twice on opening weekend and I can’t be-
cause I’m part of the committee for a convention here the 9th
10th and 11 (morn) I’ll be dead-tired by the last showing on 9th
and 10th so I’m aiming for the Sunday afternoon.
Call everyone on telephone contacts. Call local talk shows.
E-mail your lists with times and theatres in your areas.
Continue to PRAY.

Thanks, Beantown.
I checked the website again today and lo and behold they now
have two theatres listed as opening on Nov. 9th. Although, this
2nd one is closer, I will use it because they were also the first
to sign on to showing “Passion”.
Still have to do all the rest to get the general public to go.

Rush Limbagh (spel) plugged the movie today on his show.
Not that I am a big fan but he is widely listened to. Hopefully the power of the media will significantly help the turnout.

Did you get a chance to hear what he had to say about it?

Did you get a chance to hear what he had to say about it?
I was half listening, but it was very positive. He mentioned how he was informed it was a good movie and when he finally got the chance to hear it (I think he may have only heard the audio but I may be mistaken) that he felt the same way.

I do recall that he first said it was a movie about “abortion”, then corrected himslef and said it was a movie about “life”. He contrasted the movie with Million Dollar Baby, the movie that portrayed the “courage” as Rush said sarcastically, of euthenasia.

He discussed how it is a highly unusual movie in that it had deep moral themes and because of this was not being discussed in the “drive by” media.

His take was very positve.

Does anyone here know when it will be showing outside of America, more specifically in Ireland or when it will be coming out on DVD. Can’t wait to see it. It sounds great. 🙂

I think it was on The World Over that Eduardo or Leo said that
they were all about promoting this film in Mexico? and Europe
until March 2008. Then they will look into another film after that.
So maybe Ireland is sometime early next year?
