I, personally, think lyrical content shouldn’t matter, unless, of course, you feel uncomfortable with them.so does the genre of the music have nothing to do with it being sinful, only the lyrical content? and if the band has some songs with sinful lyrics, but some songs without sinful lyrics, would it be wrong to listen to only the non-sinful ones because you would be supporting an artist who makes songs that are sinful? because i like music that screams are these sounds a disgrace to our God-given musical talents?
and back to movies…
are the usccb’s ratings of O (morally offensive) the only movies we should never watch, and just be careful not to be tempted by lower ratings?
sorry for all of the questions, but music is one of my ultimate forms of entertainment, and comedies and action movies are up there too. i just want to know if i can continue to enjoy these types of things.
As for ratings, an “O” rating–I suspect–would probably be the rating of a poorly written porno, so I definitely would not go that route. Not entirely because it’s sinful, but because it’s simply a *bad *movie.
