For me it isn’t brushing up…born in 1965…converted to Catholicism in 1990. The only Latin I knew until recently is commonly used terms from debate, biology, etc.Every body brush up on your Latin. Salve Regina, Mater Misericordiae.
However, our parish has already added a ton of Latin to our liturgy, so I am learning. If I’m not mistaken, a parishioner to have a better understanding of Latin for a Pauline Latin Mass than you do a Traditional Latin Mass.
Before I became Orthodox, I used to attend a Papal Indult Mass in San Diego, you wouldn’t believe all the people who went there. It was awesome. Please don’t lose hope, I have confidence in your holy Pope, he will make things right.
