Like I said before, emotions all too often do indeed get in the way of objective and logical reasoning.
My dear Hamba ~

Who’s emotions? Who’s objective? And…Who’s logical reasoning got in the way?

Like I said before, emotions all too often do indeed get in the way of objective and logical reasoning.
Emotion has nothing to do with it. You are copying and pasting from the hack Osama Abdullah and not citing your source.

Are my arguments being disqualified on a technicality here?

Remember that what is being quoted is the Book of Jeremiah which specifically mentions “the lying pen of the scribes”.

If indeed it is not corrupting their scriptures that the Bible is referring to here, what exactly would be the grievous sin of the scribes then, scribbling graffiti on public walls??

Indeed! How is it that God commanded us “Thou shalt not commit adultery” in the Ten Commandments, Jesus affirms this in His teachings, but yet, Muhammad, in the Quran, says it is OK to have sex with slave women who are not one’s wife? You are right - a TRUE prophet of God would not spread teachings that go against teachings already affirmed as being from God.
👍

You know what, as a muslim if you want to know something from this board, please post a new thread.

It is very common for muslims to turn things around and quote the Bible and with the same breath will state the “Bible is corrupted”.

As always, once again, we are disrepectful to the OP and many OP’s by “threadjacking”.

This thread is about “”“Muhammad Mentioned 34 Times in the Bible”""

**Hamba, will all due respect, I shall not answer any of your posts within this thread if it does not match the criteria of the subject matter. **

Are my arguments being disqualified on a technicality here?
Not at all. But, stick to the topic. We are discussing specific examples that have been given in advance. We can compare Jer 8:8 with the teaching of your prophet at some other time.

Also, if you are going to copy and paste, cite the source next time.

((The most reliable early manuscripts and other ancient witnesses do NOT have Mark 16:9-20.))…
A parallel passage of the Great Commission is also found in Mt 28:16-20.
… perhaps Christians are saying that there is NO contradiction between the above Biblical verses found in Mark and Matthew?
There is no contradiction. St. Matthew calls Jesus as the ‘great light seen by the Gentiles who are living in darkness’[Mt 4]. Like it or not, Jesus’ mission included both Jews and Gentiles, both in its own time.
It makes absolutely no sense at all that Jesus (pbuh) would spend the entire period of his ministry preaching to the lost sheep of Israel only and then immediately after his alleged crucifixion orders his disciples to go to all nations and preach to all people
.

Makes sense to me!
If the divine message that he brought was intended for all of humankind, then why couldn’t he declare it in no uncertain terms right from the beginning of his mission like what Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) did?
Actually, at the outset of Muhammad’s mission he declared in no uncertain terms that he was demon possessed. At the outset of Jesus’ mission he was declared the Son o God he takes away the sins of the world. Feel better now?
How was the danger to his life faced by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) any lesser than the danger that Prophet Jesus (pbuh) faced in carrying out his own mission?
How is the experience of danger evidence of divine authority?Every tyrant faces danger while consolidating power.
The Lord protected Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) from his enemies and so why couldn’t He do the same for Prophet Jesus (pbuh)?
Violence protected Muhammmad, and good poetry that was attractive to his contemporaries. Also, many kings and tyrants were protected by their ‘gods’. Muhammad’s success is not persuasive.
If I were to accept the Christian explanation that it was all part of the grand strategy of God, then I would have to conclude that Jesus (pbuh) … and by extension God Himself… intentionally lied when he said "I was sent ONLY to the lost sheep of Israel" in Matthew 15:24.
You would only have to accept that there is more to the Great Commission than you have so far been willing to adopt.
I just cannot accept that it was necessary for Jesus (pbuh), or any of the Prophets of God (peace be upon them all), to lie about their mission because this is something which clearly breaks one of the Ten Commandments not to bear false witness.
This is becoming silly. Muhammad was a consumate liar and broke all of the commandments.
How on earth is it possible that a true Prophet of God will intentionally break any of the Commandments in order to spread the Message of the Lord?
Good question for Muslims to answer!

Here is the next point of evidence given by Mr. Khan: He gives the verse and an explanation. This is disturbingly silly. Nothing in the Quran tells us that Muhammad was a shepherd. Using this type of allegory, any shepherd at any time could easily claim to be a Prophet. Any comments? Be sure to make reference to Jesus being the ‘Good Shepherd’.

Isaiah 40:11:- He tends his flock like a shepherd.

Explanation:- Muhammad, as a boy used to go on daily wages as a shepherd to graze other’s goats and sheep in the outskirts of Mecca.

Noted. Ignoring diversion forces, maintaining target. 👍

So because Mohammad at one point was a shepherd, he can be associated with this passage from Isaiah? By such simplified logic, any single person who was ever a shepherd could be being referred to in this passage.

By the way, if this refers to Mohammad, and Muslims use this as proof of a prophecy, then they’re just as bad as the Christians who they believe deify Christ…because Isaiah is referring to God.

Here’s the full context:

Behold, the Lord GOD comes with might, and his arm rules for him; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him. He will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms; he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young. [Isaiah 40:10-11]

So apparently Mohammad is…God?

ALL nations you say??.. How is the following for logic then bearing in mind this poignant reminder from BibleGateway.com

((The most reliable early manuscripts and other ancient witnesses do NOT have Mark 16:9-20.))…

… And so, which of the following Biblical verses is more likely to be true?

EITHER

He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to ALL creation. … Mark 16:15

OR

"I was sent ONLY to the lost sheep of Israel." … (Matthew 15:24)
I think we have discussed that before hamba!!!
Again here is the reply:

Firstly, (Matthew 15:24 & Matthew 10:5-6) both were before the completion of Jesus mission He was for the lost sheep of Israel, but after the crucifixion He is for all nations (Mark 16:15 & Matthew 28:19).

Secondly, imagine what would the Gentiles say to Him or to anyone of his disciples before the crucifixion!, how can they approach and spread Christianity if the main part of it which is the crucifixion haven’t been completed yet, I think few would accept them.
But after the crucifixion, Jesus disciples have the strongest miracle of all miracles to convince others that Jesus is indeed what He claims to be.

… … (Al-Qur’an, 7:158)

And We have not sent you (O Muhammad) but to the whole of mankind as a giver of glad tidings and a warner, but most people have no knowledge. … (Al-Qur’an, 34:28)

"I was sent ONLY to the lost sheep of Israel" … (Matthew 15:24)

Muslims have no problem at all in accepting the truth of all 3 verses above.

On the other hand, it is Christians who are saying that none of the 3 verses above is the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Why then are Christians accusing Muslims of calling Prophet Jesus (pbuh) a liar?

Indeed, we already know the Q’uran came from the lips of Muhammed…

Oops…:doh2:, it seems hamba fell in his own trap…

If you are talking about your post #74, there is nothing wrong with it.

It is a filthy source and since hamba is using it, he supports the site and the Osama dude that fills it with filth.

Muslims continue to build connections that are insufficient to designate Muhammad as a true Prophet. Islamic apologists deserve no more than a strong rebuke. Muhammad has done no more than regulate Muslims to an unyielding hunger for inequity in the worship of a false god.

What you are really saying here is that God actually changed His mind about why He had sent Jesus (pbuh) down to the world for.

I cannot and will not believe that the Lord is fickle-minded because such a weakness clearly shows either ignorance or uncertainty about future events.

It makes absolutely no sense at all that an Omnipotent Deity can be fickle-minded in that He would change His mind about the mission of a Prophet who He had already sent down to the world.
Maybe that deity is not omnipotent at all! Maybe he’s just a figment of the imagination of the man who claimed to be his prophet, otherwise he wouldn’t have sent such an inept prophet!

When Jesus was 12 years old, he amazed the teachers in the Temple with his intelligence and replies. As an adult, “he taught with real authority” and people proclaimed that “no one had spoken as he did”. When Muhammad, on the other hand, came courting the Jews hoping they would convert, they laughed at him because of his ignorance about their religious matters.

Do Christians really believe that God Almighty is Omnipotent and Omniscient?

The responses of Christians on these boards do indeed raise serious doubts about this.

The real Abrahamic God is, but the author of the Quran is not!

God Almighy is indeed Omnicient and Omnioptent. He is not a rock in Mecca which introduced itself to a suicidal poet in the 7th century. Either direct your comments to the subject or feel free to post your thoughts on another thread.
