My dear Hamba ~Like I said before, emotions all too often do indeed get in the way of objective and logical reasoning.
Who’s emotions? Who’s objective? And…Who’s logical reasoning got in the way?
My dear Hamba ~Like I said before, emotions all too often do indeed get in the way of objective and logical reasoning.
Emotion has nothing to do with it. You are copying and pasting from the hack Osama Abdullah and not citing your source.Like I said before, emotions all too often do indeed get in the way of objective and logical reasoning.
Indeed! How is it that God commanded us “Thou shalt not commit adultery” in the Ten Commandments, Jesus affirms this in His teachings, but yet, Muhammad, in the Quran, says it is OK to have sex with slave women who are not one’s wife? You are right - a TRUE prophet of God would not spread teachings that go against teachings already affirmed as being from God.
You know what, as a muslim if you want to know something from this board, please post a new thread. Are my arguments being disqualified on a technicality here?
Remember that what is being quoted is the Book of Jeremiah which specifically mentions “the lying pen of the scribes”.
If indeed it is not corrupting their scriptures that the Bible is referring to here, what exactly would be the grievous sin of the scribes then, scribbling graffiti on public walls??
Not at all. But, stick to the topic. We are discussing specific examples that have been given in advance. We can compare Jer 8:8 with the teaching of your prophet at some other time. Are my arguments being disqualified on a technicality here?
A parallel passage of the Great Commission is also found in Mt 28:16-20.((The most reliable early manuscripts and other ancient witnesses do NOT have Mark 16:9-20.))…
There is no contradiction. St. Matthew calls Jesus as the ‘great light seen by the Gentiles who are living in darkness’[Mt 4]. Like it or not, Jesus’ mission included both Jews and Gentiles, both in its own time.… perhaps Christians are saying that there is NO contradiction between the above Biblical verses found in Mark and Matthew?
.It makes absolutely no sense at all that Jesus (pbuh) would spend the entire period of his ministry preaching to the lost sheep of Israel only and then immediately after his alleged crucifixion orders his disciples to go to all nations and preach to all people
Actually, at the outset of Muhammad’s mission he declared in no uncertain terms that he was demon possessed. At the outset of Jesus’ mission he was declared the Son o God he takes away the sins of the world. Feel better now?If the divine message that he brought was intended for all of humankind, then why couldn’t he declare it in no uncertain terms right from the beginning of his mission like what Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) did?
How is the experience of danger evidence of divine authority?Every tyrant faces danger while consolidating power. How was the danger to his life faced by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) any lesser than the danger that Prophet Jesus (pbuh) faced in carrying out his own mission?
Violence protected Muhammmad, and good poetry that was attractive to his contemporaries. Also, many kings and tyrants were protected by their ‘gods’. Muhammad’s success is not persuasive. The Lord protected Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) from his enemies and so why couldn’t He do the same for Prophet Jesus (pbuh)?
You would only have to accept that there is more to the Great Commission than you have so far been willing to adopt. If I were to accept the Christian explanation that it was all part of the grand strategy of God, then I would have to conclude that Jesus (pbuh) … and by extension God Himself… intentionally lied when he said "I was sent ONLY to the lost sheep of Israel" in Matthew 15:24.
This is becoming silly. Muhammad was a consumate liar and broke all of the commandments.I just cannot accept that it was necessary for Jesus (pbuh), or any of the Prophets of God (peace be upon them all), to lie about their mission because this is something which clearly breaks one of the Ten Commandments not to bear false witness.
Good question for Muslims to answer! How on earth is it possible that a true Prophet of God will intentionally break any of the Commandments in order to spread the Message of the Lord?
So because Mohammad at one point was a shepherd, he can be associated with this passage from Isaiah? By such simplified logic, any single person who was ever a shepherd could be being referred to in this passage. Here is the next point of evidence given by Mr. Khan: He gives the verse and an explanation. This is disturbingly silly. Nothing in the Quran tells us that Muhammad was a shepherd. Using this type of allegory, any shepherd at any time could easily claim to be a Prophet. Any comments? Be sure to make reference to Jesus being the ‘Good Shepherd’.
Isaiah 40:11:- He tends his flock like a shepherd.
Explanation:- Muhammad, as a boy used to go on daily wages as a shepherd to graze other’s goats and sheep in the outskirts of Mecca.
I think we have discussed that before hamba!!!ALL nations you say??.. How is the following for logic then bearing in mind this poignant reminder from BibleGateway.com…
((The most reliable early manuscripts and other ancient witnesses do NOT have Mark 16:9-20.))…
… And so, which of the following Biblical verses is more likely to be true?
EITHER
He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to ALL creation. … Mark 16:15
OR
"I was sent ONLY to the lost sheep of Israel." … (Matthew 15:24)
jakasaki…If you are talking about your post #74, there is nothing wrong with it.
It is a filthy source and since hamba is using it, he supports the site and the Osama dude that fills it with filth.

I wasn’t expecting you back on CAF until October…
Man oh man… E!!! I’m happy you are here… looking forward to your postings my dear friend!
Muslims continue to build connections that are insufficient to designate Muhammad as a true Prophet. Islamic apologists deserve no more than a strong rebuke. Muhammad has done no more than regulate Muslims to an unyielding hunger for inequity in the worship of a false god. Maybe that deity is not omnipotent at all! Maybe he’s just a figment of the imagination of the man who claimed to be his prophet, otherwise he wouldn’t have sent such an inept prophet! What you are really saying here is that God actually changed His mind about why He had sent Jesus (pbuh) down to the world for.
I cannot and will not believe that the Lord is fickle-minded because such a weakness clearly shows either ignorance or uncertainty about future events.
It makes absolutely no sense at all that an Omnipotent Deity can be fickle-minded in that He would change His mind about the mission of a Prophet who He had already sent down to the world.
The real Abrahamic God is, but the author of the Quran is not!Do Christians really believe that God Almighty is Omnipotent and Omniscient?
The responses of Christians on these boards do indeed raise serious doubts about this.
God Almighy is indeed Omnicient and Omnioptent. He is not a rock in Mecca which introduced itself to a suicidal poet in the 7th century.
