KJV is not OK for 1 John 5:7?!!

For me, all the versions of Bibles are the same. You tell me if I can take KJV as the official Bible of Catholics. Or if it is something else, then please name it. Anyway, trinity in 1 john 5:7 KJV version was clearly a later insertion.
Why is it you can quote dozens of different Bible versions for 1 John 5:7, but don’t have dozens of versions for John 10:36? :hmmm:

What does all this have to do with proving Muhammad was the last prophet? Answer: nothing.

You indirectly agreed that you only accept the words of Jesus (pbuh) that comforts your belief. More than Jesus (pbuh), you believe the words of reporters, dreamers, visioners and interpretors. You don’t know your own faith but interested verymuch to discuss the faith of others.

I can see the tree and the fruit very well.
I find this laughable coming from someone who only accepts parts of the Bible that his religion says are OK, while everything else in it has been corrupted. Then attempts to justify the Quran in the same way.

The tree of Muhammad: The fruit is corruption, rape, murder, pedophilia, etc.

The tree of Jesus: the fruit of love, compassion, salvation, peace, etc.

I’ll stick with Jesus.

You keep claiming that everyone else is a liar! How do you know that Muhammad is not a liar?? You’ve accepted blindly everything he said with absolutely no proof! He lived a very unholy life. He has been accused of the following, and you keep insisting that he is a “prophet” of God!

rapist
**a pedophile **(had sex with a child)
an assassin
a mass murderer
a ruthless torturer

**a terrorist **(I have been made victorious through terror)
a lecher
a misogynist
a narcissist
a thief and plunderer

**a cult leader **
a mentally deranged (was paranoid, heard voices, hallucinated of seeing jinns, Satan and angels, used to think he had sex with his wives when he did not, suffered from depression and had suicidal tendencies).

looting

assassinations

How can you keep claiming that this “monster” is from God?

The life of all Muslims are based on the life and teachings of Mohamed (pbuh). He is the role model for us.
So if Muhammad had declared that incest was “halal”, would Muslims have sex with their children???

Anything that Muhammad did is and has been acceptable for muslims. As I read through all this thread it is apparent that a muslims view of christian theology is so skewed and misunderstood because they follow tenets that are allowed by their religion.
This whole thread has been not only insightful but down right scary and disgusting at times I cant help but think about what one poster here said the more I look into islam the more I cringe and recoil at the thought that, that is what this religion teaches and I dont care if you read it from a pro islam site or a anti islam site. I can never reconcile myself ever to fall into the trap that many muslims have bought into.
You can always misrepresent what the bible says to fit your understanding, you can take away Jesus’ divinity ( because to understand it is a blessing) you can accuse christians of many things but one thing you cant do is take away from us the faith that we have in Jesus and he is Love. You will never understand this unless you allow Jesus in your heart. Or unless he wants to grant you this grace.

Muhammed has yet to show me this.

Khalfan can you understand what love is, true love?
Did Muhhamed ever speak of this for non believers?

Thats what I was waiting for and to my surprise he said that they had been answered by him so pretty much all that Muhhamed has been accused of has been not only true but accepted by them and rationalized.

No. It never contradicts. Before that, the account of previous prophets that you have in Bible, is not correct. No one knows who wrote those books and for what purpose. There are many rules and commands that would never come from an almighty God. God wouldn’t support slavery, killing of infants, children, ethnic cleansing etc.

But one thing is very clear; none of them ever taught trinity, but ONE GOD. And each prophet (pbut) had his own people he came to. Jesus (pbuh) too said the same.

Matthew 15:24 He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.”

Their teachigs were for only to those people. It is only Mohamed (pbuh) that claimed he and his message is for entire humanity.
Wrong! Since you didn’t mind quoting Mathews Gospel to make your point; Jesus directed his disciples in Matthew 28:19
" Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
So are you a disciple of Jesus baptized in the Name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, As Jesus instructed? You are in a nation of the Earth; aren’t you?
teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Do you Khalfan observe Jesus commands?

Khalfan Try New American Standard Bible Since its completion in 1971, the New American Standard Bible has been widely acclaimed as “the most literally accurate translation” from the original languages. anyone can discover what the original text really says, word for word, because it is considered the most literal translation of the Bible in the English language, consistently following the oldest and best manuscripts. Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible would also be good!

1 John 5:7 And there are three who give testimony in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost. And these three are one. (Douay-Rheims)

1 John 5:7 For there are three that testify: 8 the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement. (New American Standard Bible)

Trinity is there in Douay-Rheims version but it is not there in NASB version. Why? Which version you gonna reject now?

Don’t stress on that Gospel very much. You may don’t find that in the next version of Bible.
So are you a disciple of Jesus baptized in the Name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, As Jesus instructed? You are in a nation of the Earth; aren’t you? Do you Khalfan observe Jesus commands?
The question is of salvation.

When a teacher of the Law of Moses asked him: “‘Of all the commandments, which is the most important?’ ‘The most important one,’ answered Jesus, ‘is this: Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’” (Mark 12:28-30).

Notice that Jesus was quoting the first commandment from the book of Deuteronomy 6:4-5. Jesus confirmed not only that this commandment is still valid, but also that it is the most important of all the commandments. If Jesus thought that he himself is God, why did not he say so? Instead, he stressed that God is one. The man who questioned Jesus understood this, and what the man says next makes it clear that God is not Jesus, for he said to Jesus: “‘Well said, teacher,’ the man replied. ‘You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him.’” (Mark 12:32).

Now if Jesus was God, he would have told the man so. Instead, he let the man refer to God as someone other than Jesus, and he even saw that the man had spoken wisely: “When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, ‘You are not far from the kingdom of God.’” (Mark 12:34). If Jesus knew that God is a trinity, why did not he say so? Why did not he say that God is one in three, or three in one? Instead, he declared that God is one. True imitators of Jesus will imitate him also in this declaration of God’s oneness. They will not add the word three where Jesus never said it.

Continue.

Continue.
So are you a disciple of Jesus baptized in the Name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, As Jesus instructed? You are in a nation of the Earth; aren’t you? Do you Khalfan observe Jesus commands?
Does salvation depend on this commandment? Yes, says the Bible! Jesus made this clear when another man approached Jesus to learn from him (see Mark 10:17-29). The man fell on his knees and said to Jesus: “Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” Jesus replied: “Why do you call me good? No one is good — except God alone.” (Mark 10:17-18).

(This Question and answer is reworked in Matthew 19:17-18)

By so saying, Jesus made a clear distinction between himself and God. Then he proceeded with the answer to the man’s question about how to get salvation. Jesus told him: “If you want to enter life, obey the commandments.” (Matthew 19:17, also see Mark 10:19).

Remember that the most important of all the commandments, according to Jesus, is to know God as the only God. Jesus further emphasized this in the Gospel According to John. In John 17:1, Jesus lifted his eyes to heaven and prayed, addressing God as Father. Then in verse three, he said to God as follows: “Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” (John 17:3).

This proves beyond doubt that if people want to get eternal life they must know that the One, whom Jesus was praying to, is the only true God, and they must know that Jesus was sent by the true God. Some say that the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Ghost is God. But Jesus said that the Father alone is the only true God. True followers of Jesus will follow him in this too. Jesus had said that his true followers are those who hold to his teachings. He said: “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.” (John 8:31). His teaching is that people must continue to keep the commandments, especially the first commandment which emphasizes that God is alone, and that God should be loved with all our hearts and all our strengths.
We love Jesus, but we must not love him as God. Today many love Jesus more than they love God. This is because they see God as a vengeful person who wanted to exact a penalty from them, and they see Jesus as the savior who rescued them from the wrath of God. Yet God is our only savior. According to Isaiah 43:11, God said: “I, even I, am the LORD, and apart from me there is no savior.” Also God said according to Isaiah 45:21-22: “Was it not I, the LORD? And there is no God apart from me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none but me. Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.”

The Quran confirms the first commandment and addresses it to all humankind (see the Holy Quran 2:163). And God declares that true believers love Him more than anyone else or anything else (Quran 2:165).

Thats what I was waiting for and to my surprise he said that they had been answered by him so pretty much all that Muhhamed has been accused of has been not only true but accepted by them and rationalized.
Its been answered in the same thread my dear. Read it first.

Muhammed has yet to show me this.

Did Muhhamed ever speak of this for non believers?
The Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said:“One who is the best of you in good conduct is nearest to me. A believer loves and is loved. There is no good in one who does not love and is not loved.” (Imam Ghazzali, vol. 2 , p. 95)

When a man loves his brother for sake of Allah, he should tell him that he loves him. (Abu Dawud)

Give one another gifts and love one another. Give one another food. This will produce breadth in your daily bread.(Al Hafiz ibn al-Dayba al-Shaybani, Taysir al-'usul ilaJami al-'usul, vol. 16, p. 239)

Allah (S.W.T) said in surat Al-Mumtahinah, what can be translated as, "Allah does not forbid you (Muslims) to deal justly and kindly with those who have not fought against you in accounts of your religion and who do not drive you out from your homes. Verily, Allah loves those who deal with equity.” (Verse 8)

This great verse clearly states the normal and original state for a good relationship between Muslims and Non-Muslims. Allah (S.W.T.) did not prevent us (Muslims) from establishing good relationships with Non-Muslims. He clearly says that our relationships with Non-Muslims should be based on the best morals and justice with those who declared peace upon us and did not fight us.

The Noble Quran uses the word, “Bir,” which is typically used to describe the highest relationship one could have with parents. The Quran also uses “Bir” to describe the type of relationship we should have with Non-Muslims. “Bir” includes all the good things that a relationship should have, and excludes all the bad aspects of a relationship. For that reason, Muslim scholars said that “Bir” is the foundation of the relationship between Muslims and Non-Muslims.

This verse was revealed after the story of Asma’ and her mother. Imams Bukhari, Muslim and Ahmad reported that Asma’ the daughter of Abu Bakr (R.A.) said: “My mother came to me while she was still a polytheist, so I asked Allah’s Messenger (S.A.W.), “My mother, who is ill-disposed to Islam, has come to visit me. She wants something from me. Shall I maintain relations with her?” He (S.A.W.) replied, “Yes, maintain relations with your mother.”

After Imam At-Tabari mentioned various opinions for the explanations of this verse, his final conclusion was that: “The most correct opinion in understanding this verse is that Muslims should be just, fair, and have the best relationship with all Non-Muslims who ‘do not fight against us on account of our religion and do not drive us out of our homes.’ This includes people of all faiths and sects and the support of this correct opinion came from the story of Asma’ with her mother.”

Sayyid Qutb also attempts to explain this verse, saying that:

“Islam is a Deen of peace and a conviction of love. It is a system that has compassion to all people. It gathers all people (Muslim and Non-Muslim) under the banner of Allah like brethren in accord and love. There is no obstacle that prevents this from happening except an aggression from its enemies against it and its people. If those enemies show peace, Islam does not want animosity or to start it. Even when the enemies still show animosity, Islam always looks for ways to bring the relationship to normalcy through great conduct and justice.”

He continues: “Islam allows Muslims to seek accord and love with Non-Muslims who did not fight them for their religion and expel them from their lands.”

He continues: “Islam makes peace as the normal relationship between Muslims and Non-Muslims. This relationship is not distracted except with an aggression that must be dealt with, a breaching of truce, an obstacle in the face of delivering the message of Islam, shackling the freedom of religion. Other than that, the relationship is a relationship of peace, love, justice for all people.” {In the Shade of Al-Qur’an, 6:3544.}
