OK. now you tell me, how do you interpret 1 John 5:7?

Father, Son and Holy Spirit

or

Spirit, water and blood?
Here is my question for you and you can decide which makes sense:Can blood testify? What about water? You figure it out.------While Our Bible is a major part of the deposit of our faith,we also have the Magisterium established by Jesus,as well as Apostolic tradition which the Church has faithfully protected, and preserved; being guided by The Spirit of Truth for the last 1974 years. 'The Spirit of Truth, whom the world is not able to accept, because it neither perceives him nor knows him. But you shall know him. For he will remain with you, and he will be in you." “he will guide you into all truth.” And so He has!

There was a man lived 2000 years ago, who never said ‘I AM GOD’ for even once in his entire life. Instead he said, he is sent by his GOD, with what he taught to speak by his GOD, did many miracles by the help of his GOD, prayed to be saved from getting killed by jews and ascented to heaven by the will of his GOD, called Esua (pbuh).

But you Christians changed his name, mission, works and authority.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word WAS GOD.

We invalidated Bible, not because it doesn’t contain any word of God, but it contains human words that fabricated as words of God and words of Jesus (pbuh) as impossible to recognise true and false.
In your mind it’s invalidated, but Christians know the Bible is the Word of God. All of your denying just prooves this fact.

600 years after Jesus lived a man named Muhammad who one day claimed that an angel had appeared to him and that he was receiving “revelations” from God, and that he was the last “prophet”. He never acknowledged any “miracles” to prove his prophethood, he stated that the Quran was his only miracle. His followers took him simply at his word especially after he started using force to get people to accept his new creed.

This man also claimed that God stated that he, Muhammad, was the best man that God had created and a “model for all mankind”.

This so-called “model” for all mankind had sex with a 9 year old when he was about 53 years old and his followers still continue to find ways of justifying this dastardly act. He raided civilians in the middle of the night, cowardly killed unarmed men and enslaved their women and children. He even raped women after torturing and killing their husbands, but his followers continue to believe in him and the lies that he told, and still claim that he is the greatest “prophet”!

For 1400 years the fires of the Big Lie have been kept alive by the followers of this false “prophet”!

15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

15 “The firstborn”… That is, first begotten; as the Evangelist declares, the only begotten of his Father: hence, St. Chrisostom explains firstborn, not first created, as he was not created at all, but born of his Father before all ages; that is, coeval with the Father and with the Holy Ghost.

16 For in him were all things created in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominations, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him and in him. 17 And he is before all, and by him all things consist. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he may hold the primacy: 19 Because in him, it hath well pleased the Father, that all fullness should dwell; 20 And through him to reconcile all things unto himself, making peace through the blood of his cross, both as to the things that are on earth, and the things that are in heaven.

21 And you, whereas you were some time alienated and enemies in mind in evil works: 22 Yet now he hath reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unspotted, and blameless before him: 23 If so ye continue in the faith, grounded and settled, and immoveable from the hope of the gospel which you have heard, which is preached in all the creation that is under heaven, whereof I Paul am made a minister.

Now I know that this will fall on deaf ears but like I have said Jesus is God and the muslim understanding of this is limited, very limited. Thats too bad for you but not for the many converts that come into christianty from Islam.

OK. now you tell me, how do you interpret 1 John 5:7?
How the church has always interpreted it
We invalidated Bible, not because it doesn’t contain any word of God, but it contains human words that fabricated as words of God and words of Jesus as impossible to recognise true and false.
Which are the real words of God?

“Those who follow the apostle, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures),- in the law and the Gospel;- for he commands them what is just and forbids them what is evil; he allows them as lawful what is good (and pure) and prohibits them from what is bad (and impure); He releases them from their heavy burdens and from the yokes that are upon them. So it is those who believe in him, honour him, help him, and follow the light which is sent down with him,- it is they who will prosper. (The Noble Quran, 7:157)”

“It is He Who sent down to thee (step by step), in truth, the Book, confirming what went before it; and He sent down the Law (of Moses) and the Gospel (of Jesus) before this, as a guide to mankind, and He sent down the criterion (of judgment be tween right and wrong). (The Noble Quran, 3:3)”

“To thee We sent the Scripture in truth, confirming the scripture that came before it, and guarding it in safety: so judge between them by what God hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging from the Truth that hath come to thee. To each among you have we prescribed a law and an open way. If God had so willed, He would have made you a single people, but (His plan is) to test you in what He hath given you: so strive as in a race in all virtues. The goal of you all is to God; it is He that will show you the truth of the matters in which ye dispute; (The Noble Quran, 5:48)”

“That which We have revealed to thee of the Book is the Truth,- confirming what was (revealed) before it: for God is assuredly- with respect to His Servants - well acquainted and Fully Observant. (The Noble Quran, 35:31)”

That is why we Muslims believe in only the parts of the Bible that agree with the Noble Quran. The parts that contradict the Noble Quran are not the Truth. Becasue,

“That they rejected Faith; That they uttered against Mary A grave false charge; That they said (in boast): ‘We killed Christ Jesus The son of Mary, The Messenger of Allah.’ But they killed him not, Nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not. Nay, Allah raised him up Unto Himself; and Allah Is Exalted in Power, Wise. And there is none of the people of the book (Jews and Christians) But must believe in him (Jesus) Before his death; And on the Day of Judgment He (Jesus) will be a witness Against them. (The Noble Quran, 4:156-159)”

“Know they not Allah Knoweth what they conceal and what they reveal? And there are among them illiterates, who know not the Book, but (see therein their own) desires, and they do nothing but conjecture. Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands, and then say: ‘This is from Allah,’ To traffic with it for a miserable price! Woe to them for what their hands do write, and for the gain they make thereby. (The Noble Quran, 2:77-79)”

“O Apostle! let not those grieve thee, who race each other into unbelief: (whether it be) among those who say “We believe” with their lips but whose hearts have no faith; or it be among the Jews,- men who will listen to any lie,- will listen even to others who have never so much as come to thee. They change the words from their (right) times and places: they say, ‘If ye are given this, take it, but if not, beware!’ If any one’s trial is intended by God, thou hast no authority in the least for him against God. For such - it is not God’s will to purify their hearts. For them there is disgrace in this world, and in the Hereafter a heavy punishment. (The Noble Quran, 5:41)”

The reason we use Bible is because,

“Say: ‘O People of the Book (i.e., Jews and Christians)! Come to common terms as between us and you: That we worship none but Allah; that we associate no partners with Him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons other than Allah.’ If then they turn back, say ye: ‘Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to Allah’s Will).’ (The Noble Quran, 3:64)”
Tell us, can you provide as much proof for the validity of your religion as you cut and paste in trying to disprove ours??

What real proof do you have for Islam other than “Muhammad said so”??? Are a man’s so-called “private revelations” sufficient to base a whole religion on?? How can you be sure that he didn’t make up the whole thing??

The Biblical prophecies on the advent of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) are evidence of the truth of Islam for people who believe in the Bible.

In Deuteronomy 18, Moses (pbuh) stated that God told him: “I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers; I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him. If anyone does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name, I myself will call him to account.” (Deuteronomy 18:18-19).

From these verses we conclude that the prophet in this prophecy must have the following three characteristics:
  1. That he will be like Moses (pbuh).
  2. That he will come from the brothers of the Israelites, i.e. the Ishmaelites.
  3. That God will put His words in to the mouth of this prophet and that he will declare what God commands him.
Let us examine these three characteristics in more depth:
  1. A prophet like Moses (pbuh):
There were hardly any two prophets who were so much alike as Moses (pbuh) and Muhammad (pbuh). Both were given a comprehensive law and code of life. Both encountered their enemies and were victorious in miraculous ways. Both were accepted as prophets (pbut) and statesmen. Both migrated following conspiracies to assassinate them. Analogies between Moses (pbuh) and Jesus (pbuh) overlook not only the above similarities but other crucial ones as well. These include the natural birth, the family life, and death of Moses (pbuh) and Muhammad (pbuh) but not of Jesus (pbuh). Moreover Jesus was regarded by his followers as the Son of God and not exclusively as a prophet of God, as Moses (pbuh) and Muhammad (pbuh) were and as Muslims believe Jesus (pbuh) was. So, this prophecy refers to the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and not to Jesus (pbuh), because Muhammad (pbuh) is more like Moses than Jesus (pbuh).

Also, one notices from the Gospel of John that the Jews were waiting for the fulfillment of three distinct prophecies. The first was the coming of Christ. The second was the coming of Elijah. The third was the coming of the Prophet. This is obvious from the three questions that were posed to John the Baptist: “Now this was John’s testimony, when the Jews of Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to ask him who he was. He did not fail to confess, but confessed freely, “I am not the Christ.” They asked him, “Then who are you? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” He answered, “No.” (John 1:19-21). If we look in a Bible with cross-references, we will find in the marginal notes where the words “the Prophet” occur in John 1:21, that these words refer to the prophecy of Deuteronomy 18:15 and 18:18. We conclude from this that Jesus (pbuh) is not the prophet mentioned in Deuteronomy 18:18.

Continued.
  1. From the brothers of the Israelites:
Abraham (pbuh) had two sons, Ishmael (pbuh) and Isaac (pbuh) (Genesis 21). Ishmael (pbuh) became the grandfather of the Arab nation, and Isaac (pbuh) became the grandfather of the Jewish nation. The prophet spoken of was not to come from among the Jews themselves, but from among their brothers, i.e. the Ishmaelites. Muhammad (pbuh), a descendant of Ishmael, is indeed this prophet.

Also, Isaiah 42:1-13 speaks of the servant of God, His “chosen one” and “messenger” who will bring down a law. “He will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth. In his law the islands will put their hope.” (Isaiah 42:4). Verse 11, connects that awaited one with the descendants of Kedar. Who is Kedar? According to Genesis 25:13, Kedar was the second son of Ishmael (pbuh), the ancestor of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
  1. God will put His words in the mouth of this prophet:
The words of God (the Holy Quran) were truly put into Muhammad’s (pbuh) mouth. God sent the Angel Gabriel (pbuh) to teach Muhammad (pbuh) the exact words of God (the Holy Quran) and asked him to dictate them to the people as he heard them. The words are therefore not his own. They did not come from his own thoughts, but were put into his mouth by the Angel Gabriel (pbuh). During the life time of Muhammad (pbuh), and under his supervision, these words were then memorized and written by his companions.

Also, this prophecy in Deuteronomy mentioned that this prophet will speak the words of God in the name of God. If we looked to the Holy Quran, we will find that all its chapters, except Chapter 9, are preceded or begin with the phrase, “In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.”

Another indication (other than the prophecy in Deuteronomy) is that Isaiah ties the messenger connected with Kedar with a new song (a scripture in a new language) to be sung to the Lord (Isaiah 42:10-11). This is mentioned more clearly in the prophecy of Isaiah: “and another tongue, will he speak to this people” (Isaiah 28:11 KJV). Another related point, is that the Quran was revealed in sections over a span of twenty-three years. It is interesting to compare this with Isaiah 28 which speaks of the same thing, “For it is: Do and do, do and do, rule on rule, rule on rule; a little here, a little there.” (Isaiah 28:10).

Note that God has said in the prophecy of Deuteronomy 18, “If anyone does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name, I myself will call him to account.” (Deuteronomy, 18:19). This means that whoever believes in the Bible must believe in what this prophet says, and this prophet is the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

Baseless allegation. His own family was against him. He and the early handful believers got highly totured for about 10 years in Mecca. The traders of madina who believed his words invited him there to live with them. If it was by force to make someone believe in him, he could do it from the very beginning, instead of sufferring more than 10 years in Mecca.

Yaa… the same issue of marriage with Ayesha (ra).

Tell me, what is the correct age to have sex?

Paul is the founder of Christianity.

I never said Paul was the founder of christianity. Where did you get that notion just because Paul wrote this letter to the Colosions?
Come on Khalfan can you come up with anything better than what some priest said, sometimes priest say things that are not in accordance to church teaching, as many mulsims do the same for the sake of converts or because they themselves dont understand the quran.

The age I think to have sex is definetly not 9 never ever at all. I think that a woman should be ready for sex, not have it forced upon her for the sake of religious purposes ever.

Let us examine these three characteristics in more depth:
  1. A prophet like Moses (pbuh):
(shortened to save space)
Continued.
Some problems with this. First of all, the children of Ishmael and the children of Isaac would not be brothers, they would be cousins. God says to Moses:
Deut 18:18 What they have said is well said. From their own **brothers **I shall raise up a prophet like yourself;
None of the Hebrews would have considered the Ishmaelites their brothers. Incidentally, they saw themselves as Israelites (children of Jacob) not children of Isaac.

Jesus and Moses are more alike than Moses and Muhammad. For instance, Moses was saved from the slaughter of the innocents just as Jesus was. Also, Moses instructed people for the passover. Jesus uses the passover when establishing a new covenant at the last supper. Moses receives the ten commandments from God and delivers them to the Israelites. Jesus gives a new commandment to the Apostles:

John 15: 12-15
12This is my commandment: love one another, as I have loved you.
13No one can have greater love than to lay down his life for his friends.
14You are my friends, if you do what I command you.
15I shall no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know the master’s business; I call you friends, because I have made known to you everything I have learnt from my Father.
How is the fact that John the Baptist claims he is not “the prophet” make Jesus not “The Prophet”? Yet the people proclaim it and Jesus does not deny it:
John 6: 12-14
12 When they had had their fill, he said to his disciples, “Gather the fragments left over, so that nothing will be wasted.”
13 So they collected them, and filled twelve wicker baskets with fragments from the five barley loaves that had been more than they could eat.
14 When the people saw the sign he had done, they said, “This is truly the Prophet, the one who is to come into the world.”
John 7:40
Some in the crowd who heard these words said, “This is truly the Prophet.
Jesus fulfills both prophecies. He is both the Christ and the Prophet.

One last thing, Moses performed miracles so that the people would believe him. What signs and wonders did Muhammad perform? And no, you cannot use the Quran as a proof.

Nonsense! While he was weak and powerless he could not afford to be ruthless! Things changed when he became powerful Do you agree with all the crimes I mentioned?

Well, it certainly is not at the age of 9! Any man who has sex with a 9 year old is a pedophile!

Can you tell me which version of Bible is the word of God?
The original Greek and Hebrew texts. No English version can be completely reliable.
Which version of the Qur’an is the true one, Shia or Sunni? I happen to possess both.
