I had to pay OCP a fee to use one of their songs in Spanish as well as the Spanish version of the Responsorial psalm. The fee included permission to reprint the psalm and the song in the little worship aids I did for my cousin’s wedding.

Unless the text is specific to the bible, I’m pretty certain you have to get a license for text as well.

My parish is using the St. Louis Jesuits Mass for the Sanctus, Memorial Acclamation, and Great Amen, unfortunately. The Agnus Dei is from the Good Shephered Mass and is faithful to the text.
Actually, the best setting is Richard Proulx’s A Community Mass. It is faithful to the text and can be sung acapella. The Gloria is sung at my parish right now. I think it’s on of many Spanish Gloria’s (which we sing the English transfer). We always sing the Gloria at my parish nowadays, never recite it.
Reading his music packet, starting on Assumption Sunday, we are going to be using the Melodic Gloria, and the Mass parts will come from Mass of Creation.
If I would suggest Mass settings, I would probably use the Heritage Mass Gloria and then use Heritage Mass for the Sanctus, Memorial Acclamation, Great Amen, and Agnus Dei.
Oh, Justin, I see that your parish uses “Christ Before Us” quite often. How does the congregation seem to like it?
After my mini-vacation in September, I’ll probably use the Sing Praise & Thanksgiving Mass for a little while.
A few years ago, I switched Mass of Creation to Advent and Lent specifically because I did not like it as well and I thought it fit with Penitence (my own private joke). Now we are phasing it out with Jubilate Deo during these seasons. I am sure there are others that view this as a penance.
No. That only applies to the Alleluia/Lenten acclamation. That direction is found in the General Introduction to the Lectionary. The Gloria is only omitted during Advent and Lent. However, there are solemnities that fall during that time such as the Immaculate Conception and Our Lady of Guadalupe (Advent) and the Annunciation and St. Joseph (Lent) where the Gloria is sung/recited.
