scottm posted: Yesterday was the Sunday before Thanksgiving. The homily was 4 1/2 minutes long. (I timed it.)
Catholic approach: “If you can’t say what needs to be said in 10 minutes or less, you’ve lost the congregation.”
Protestant approach: “When my pastor prays he closes his eyes, and when he preaches he closes mine.”
