Praying for your dear little girl and for your strength and courage in this difficult time.

Praying that God give you, your daughter and your family the strength and courage it takes to confront this challenge.

Peace

Tim

I will pray for your family today.

I will offer my afternoon Rosary for your sweet baby. I am so sorry, we can only pray that the test results were wrong and God will heal, take away all cancer. Protection of heaven, all of those in heaven, please, please surround this family!

My spirit is lower than a snail’s belly right now. Last month Tessa spent 2 weeks in the hospital, and celebrated (if you call it that) her 11th birthday in the hospital, for surgery to remove a huge cancerous tumor. She lost her left ovary to the cancer.

The protein count for the following month or so was great – it was decreasing rapidly. We thought that she was cured. We were all smiles and “praise God hallelujah.”

Today the doc called us with the most recent blood-test result. The protein count has spiked back up nearly as high as it was at the time of the surgery.

Tomorrow she’ll have a CT scan to find out what’s going on.

I am not a happy person right now. This is not supposed to be happening.

I’ve emailed or called everyone I can think of to ask for prayers for immediate healing. Something is very much not right. Additional prayers would be appreciated.
I pray that this is a false positive test result and the ct’s are clear. St. Peregrine intercede and pray for a cure for the glory of God! Amen

Praying for you all. God Bless.

God, our Father, protector of the poor and defender of the widow and orphan, you called your priest, Father Michael J. McGivney, to be an apostle of Christian family life and to lead the young to the generous service of their neighbor. Through the example of his life and virtue may we follow your Son, Jesus Christ, more closely, fulfilling his commandment of charity and building up his Body which is the Church. Let the inspiration of your servant prompt us to greater confidence in your love so that we may continue his work of caring for the needy and the outcast. We humbly ask that you glorify your servant Father Michael J. McGivney on earth according to the design of your holy will. Through his intercession, grant the favor I now present, for the healing of 11-year old Tessa who has cancer. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be.

(Prayer for the canonization of Fr. Michael J. McGivney)

Lord Jesus, I pray for the healing of little Tessa. I pray that you may fill her young body with the strength and determination to fight off this disease and bring to her a sense of peace and to her family, comfort, strength and their ability to trust in your most sacred heart. I pray that her cancer will leave and will not return.

Amen.

Gracias. Yesterday she had a CT scan. Later today we’ll meet with an oncologist to talk about whatever the scan shows. We thought we were done with this. :crying:

I’m a cancer survivor that has regular ct’s to check spots on my scans. They haven’t changed in almost 4 years. I have “scar” tissue in my lungs and nodes around my kidney pole. I know how tough it is to wait and see. But in the cancer world, no news is good news. Hang in there brother and you all still have my prayers. Tim

Met with the doc today. There’s a two-inch mass in there. His recommendation: immediate surgery (as in next week) to remove it followed by four sessions of a specific chemo soup.

I used up all my leave from work in July/Aug when she was in the hospital the first time. Gotta talk now with the HR department. I don’t know if I can get more time off with pay.

And I don’t know how we’ll pay for our share of two surgeries so close together.

:crying:

Scott, I am so sorry.
This prayer is from Catholic Culture so I am very sure it is orthodox.

Prayers for a Sick Child
Rev. Schmiedeler gives the formula for the blessing of a sick child, which may also be prayed by parents.

Beautiful are the prayers of the Church for the visitation of a sick child in the home. The words, pronounced by the priest, are as follows:

“O God, to whom all things grow, and by whom they are strengthened when grown, stretch forth Thy hand upon Thy servant who is sick at a tender age: that recovering the vigor of health, he may arrive at the fullness of years, and always give unto Thee a faithful and grateful service all the days of his life. Through our Lord. . .”

O Father of mercies and God of all consolation, who providing in manifold tenderness for the good of Thy creatures grantest the grace of healing not only to the soul but also to the body, deign to raise this sick child from his bed of suffering, and to restore him safe and sound to Thy holy Church and to his parents; so that all the days of his prolonged life he may increase in grace and wisdom before Thee and men, serve Thee in justice and holiness, and give due thanks to Thy mercy. Through Christ. . ."

O God, who in a wonderful order appointest the ministries of angels and of men, grant in Thy mercy that they who ever stand ministering to Thee in heaven may also guard the life of this child upon earth. Through Christ. . ."

Placing his right hand on the forehead of the child the priest adds: “May Jesus, the Son of Mary, the salvation and Lord of the world, through the merits and intercession of His apostles Peter and Paul and of all His saints be merciful to you and full of tenderness. Amen.”
