My 11-yo-daughter has cancer again

I’ll be praying for your daughter and for your entire family. I can’t even begin to understand how difficult this must be for you, but rest assured that God never allows us to go through something like this alone. We may never understand why all of this is happening, but we have to believe that if The Lord allows it to happen then some greater good will come out of it. In the meantime, hang in there and I will pray for a complete healing for your daughter. I will also ask our Blessed Mother to help you get through this. She has certainly experienced the agony of seeing her child suffer and will be able to assist you.

Father, Son, and Spirit-- we place our trust in you.
 
Heavenly Father,

I know You love this little girl more than we can imagine. You created her in her mother’s womb and all her days are Yours. Father, if it is Your will, restore this child to good health and relieve her parents’ anxiety. Give them the strength to bear and even embrace this cross for Your Glory.

Father, remind us that Your ways are not our ways and Your thoughts not our thoughts–that Your thoughts are as far above ours as the heavens are above the earth. Father, please let this cup pass from them, but Thy Will be done.

Amen.

I have placed your petitions within my heart and will carry them with me to daily Mass and I will remember your petitions in my daily prayers for your dear daughter.

My Lord Jesus, I know you can heal little Tessa if You will it. My Lord Jesus look kindly upon her and her family and bless them greatly. Sweet Jesus I know you are very close to Tessa and her family as they carry this heavy cross. I know you shoulder this cross with them. Come Lord Jesus and do Your will. Amen’

She can walk around (slowly) on her own but her tummy hurts a lot and she can only eat a few bites of food at a time. Any more than that and she pukes it back up. Digestion is not turned on yet. She complains a lot about how her tummy hurts. I’ve had surgeries myself for broken bones so I can understand the pain, but gosh, as a dad I just want to kiss the boo-boo and make it better!

She’ll stay in the hospital until she can take reasonable amounts of food in at the top end and send it out at the bottom end without trouble. Until then we’re all " :crying: "
