Surgery is presently set for Wed Oct 3 at 8am. :crying:
Good, they can isolate it and get it out. The chemo will get any possible cells that are left. Sounds like it was caught early enough. Mine was late stage 3 and they could not remove it as it was like buckshot in my lungs and lympths. Chemo is easy at first then gets tougher as the treatments increase. At first it was like a cold, I would recover, then have a few good days, then get another treatment. The good days dwindle to none as the treatments come. That was four years ago and the Lord spared my sorry butt. Your daughter will be in good hands. Be the rock for your daughter. Show no doubt to her but increase the faith. Pray with authority when with her. I really feel for you all in this and I will continue to pray. Tim

Dear Scott…will keep your daughter in daily prayer and also on October 3rd. especially. Also with the Infant of Prague for your finances and employment…

Father, I pray to You in confidence to care and to heal Tessa in this, her hour of need. She is only 11, and has much yet to do, so I beg for You to show Your mercy to this child. In the name of Your son Jesus I pray. Amen. :signofcross:

“O God, to whom all things grow, and by whom they are strengthened when grown, stretch forth Thy hand upon Thy servant who is sick at a tender age: that recovering the vigor of health, he may arrive at the fullness of years, and always give unto Thee a faithful and grateful service all the days of his life. Through our Lord. . .”

O Father of mercies and God of all consolation, who providing in manifold tenderness for the good of Thy creatures grantest the grace of healing not only to the soul but also to the body, deign to raise this sick child from his bed of suffering, and to restore him safe and sound to Thy holy Church and to his parents; so that all the days of his prolonged life he may increase in grace and wisdom before Thee and men, serve Thee in justice and holiness, and give due thanks to Thy mercy. Through Christ. . ."

O God, who in a wonderful order appointest the ministries of angels and of men, grant in Thy mercy that they who ever stand ministering to Thee in heaven may also guard the life of this child upon earth. Through Christ. . ."

This was beautiful and made me cry so I thought I’d repeat it aloud.

Scott, I know it must be hard right now very very hard to see God’s hand in this. I was struck by your quote in your sig, you are being asked to walk Catholic.

Jesus, help Scott to bear this cross as you would. Help him to seek and see your face each day, leaning on you to get where you’d have him go. Raise him in spirit and grant unto him the healing of his child. Ease his anxieties abt bills and such because you are the Great Multiplier. We ask that you accept his sufferings and join them with your own for the redemption of the world. Amen.

Oh my, I will pray for you as often as can think of it in the coming week.

God Bless you and your family.

I pray and hope that your little girl is blessed with the graces she needs to go through her suffering in the most fruitful way possible. And that you and your poor wife are also blessed.

I turn to Mary as well to embrace and hold your family in her loving arms.

I will be praying for your daughter, you, and for your family.

Maybe other coworkers can donate sick leave or vacation time for you to use. Perhaps you could work an alternative work schedule, and make up for days off during the week by working on the weekends? I hope your office will be flexible. I am sorry you have to worry about this.

I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Sincerely,

Maria1212

I am saying some special prayers for your little angel and will remember her and your family at Mass. Keep us updated.

Praying for your daughter to get better soon and make a full recovery. Praying also that God gives you strenght at this time.

Had the surgery yesterday, a few hours later than expected but it happened. Surgeon found a lot more tumors in there than expected. Lots of little ones that the CT scan can’t pick up. Daughter lost a bit of her colon, and part of a protective wall of fat. The surgeon says she won’t miss those body parts, but still, this is worse than her July 30 surgery. Things were supposed to get better, not worse. She can’t eat or drink yet. Digestion isn’t turned on yet. Probably tomorrow she’ll be able to injest something. On the good side, she’s surprisingly already able to walk down the hall to the game room. Last time it took her several days to be able to do that! I’m happy about that, but sad about the overall situation. Thanks for the prayers.

I’m still praying for Tessa’s healing.GOD LOVE and BLESS your family

This is a heavy cross that no child should have, but it adds to the merits for those like myself who didn’t deserve to survive cancer. She is doing more good then you could imagine. Continued in my prayers for all of you and by the intercession of St. Peregrine. Keep us updated on her recovery and treatments. Tim

still praying for you and family:

Hail Mary, Full of Grace, The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of death. Amen.

I see that she is doing well after surgery and I am so thankful for that - Praise God!!!

I am struck by what a hardship this is for each of you in your own way and truthfully am in tears. I myself had to have an eye removed at 21 b/c of a tumor, so I can somewhat relate and seeing my parents struggle with the unknowns is hard. That was 21 yrs ago and still my dad looks at me like he was beaten by what he couldn’t fix.

So I ask right now that God would bring healing to your hearts also, that He may look on each of you with favor, and that He may continue to guide you through this terrible lowly valley. May God grant you restful sleep and peaceful days to allow all of the healing to take place. Your daughter must be a brave young soul to endure this, blessed are you to have one such as her in your midst!!! Reward her Sweet Jesus!!!

Amen.

Heavenly Father, I thank you for giving Tessa a skilled surgeon and I thank you for protecting and keeping her through her surgery. Please, I ask You to completely heal Tessa now that she has had surgery, and that her illness will never return, so that she can grow to be strong in faith, and praise Your name, and be a living testiment to Your power and grace. I ask this with confidence in the name of Your son Jesus. Amen.
