My spirit is lower than a snail’s belly right now. Last month Tessa spent 2 weeks in the hospital, and celebrated (if you call it that) her 11th birthday in the hospital, for surgery to remove a huge cancerous tumor. She lost her left ovary to the cancer.

The protein count for the following month or so was great – it was decreasing rapidly. We thought that she was cured. We were all smiles and “praise God hallelujah.”

Today the doc called us with the most recent blood-test result. The protein count has spiked back up nearly as high as it was at the time of the surgery.

Tomorrow she’ll have a CT scan to find out what’s going on.

I am not a happy person right now. This is not supposed to be happening.

I’ve emailed or called everyone I can think of to ask for prayers for immediate healing. Something is very much not right. Additional prayers would be appreciated.

I will pray the rosary for you and Tessa.

I will take your daughter before the Throne every time I think of her.

I’m so sorry. No one should have to bear such illness at a young age. I’ll be praying for her and your whole family.

I will pray the Rosary for her right now! I will also be praying for you. God bless you and strengthen you in all that you do.

My family and I will offer our daily Mass and Rosary for Tessa tomorrow morning.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.

Amen.

Our Father…
