My Biopsy

A few of the faithful shepherded me into the chapel after mass this afternoon and laid hands on me in prayer. What a blessing! But even more the blessing is the prayer from those I have never met. I will not know the specific type of cancer until Wed this week. However, two of the most common symptoms of this type of lymphoma are absent. So, either the Lord is doing something, or it is an early stage. May the Lord bless all of you.

Still in my daily prayers and in Sunday Mass tomorrow…take care…

I am praying for you now and keeping you in my prayers. You are such a blessing to all of us. When you said that you were offering this up for the poor souls in purgatory, it really touched my heart. You always think of others.

You will be included in my daily rosary. Stay stong and please keep us posted.

God Bless,
Gary

I saw the biopsy surgeon today. According to the various pathology reports that have been received, my condition points to a form of cancer, but they cannot determine exactly which?!? It indicates an abnormality in my T-cell formation, which affects the immune system. Wednesday is the first visit with an oncologist. Then we may know if further testing is in order, another biopsy, or if there is enough information to begin chemotherapy. As always, my life belongs to the Lord, and I praise Him for His mercy.

You are amazing that you give it to the Lord totally. I will continue praying

Sorry to hear of your results, sent the PM before checking the forums. I will continue to add to the prayers of the last week. May the prayers of Blessed Mary MacKillop give you strength and peace through the especially difficult time that comes with diagnosis and the beginning of treatment.

This morning at about 0800 Pacific, I am going for a bone marrow biopsy, as the oncologist needs more studies done before making a decision on treatment. The pathology reports are too vague at this point. I spent an hour with the Lord this evening in prayer and feel refreshed. His will be done!

Honestly, I was just thinking about you before I read it. Thank you for the update.
I will continue praying…

po18guy,

That is exactly the time that I take a walk and say my daily rosary. Please know that while you are getting your biopsy I will be praying for you.

God Bless,
Gary

wina and gez722, thank you very much for the irreplaceable time you spend in prayer. I pray the Lord will reward your faithfulness. I am a little sore, but not bad. I might know more by Monday or Tuesday, after the blood work and marrow have been studied. The non-denominational nurse was surprised that Catholics could be spirit-filled. Well, my “entourage” and I showed her!

God bless.

Prayed the fourth mystery for you today, as you carry this heavy cross. Will continue to keep you in my prayers:gopray2:

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

The Lord is teaching me quite a lesson in this. His will is so irresistible that it is apparently beginning to show. Rather than to be horrified at the news, I have taken it up as the blessed cross that it is. Whoever said that perfecting a soul was easy, or easy to welcome? However, since we know it is absolutely necessary for the Kingdom, I welcome it in all of its forms. My life is still simple compared to that of a first century Christian. Praise the Lord God in Heaven for His infinite mercy. Amen!

Prayers for your recovery and that you may stay so strong in your faith!
