How in SF-A2 Miki’s name is that even possible? The doctor is quite right. I know a man who lost one of his testicles from not masturbating and having no wife. He became sterile. The stricture against masturbation is a medieval holdover and needs to be changed.

Unless you have solid evidence and a thorough investigation of that claim, I’ll call your claim for what it is - a lie.
Julia agrees and then says why she agrees. The doctor is quite right.
Julia knows a man. This can be assumed to be true. He may have lost one of his testicles and that also may be true. Now the reason is in question. If Julia was told by the man that the reason was for not masturbating then this is just misinformation and Julia, says she is a scientist, should question this and get more information. This is just information by testimony that is translated as fact and it is not. So this is not necessarily a lie.I know a man who lost one of his testicles from not masturbating and having no wife. Julia pulls this out of nowhere unless you read all of Julia’s postings and she that Julia is Liberal in thinking and does not think or post in line with the Magesterium. It is an unrelated statement that Julia has thrown out because she opposes Church teaching. Any knowledgeable Catholic should ignore any of Julia’s propositions that oppose Church teaching and recognize that this is just Julia’s opinion and not anything that will lead to avoid sin and gain salvation. The stricture against masturbation is a medieval holdover and needs to be changed.
I am wrong in assuming too quickly.Cresscent,
I am not so sure I would call this a lie. See here.

Sebrina,I think I spend too much time on other forum boards (like World of Warcraft for instance). I can smell a troll a mile away and OP strikes me as the trolliest of trolls![]()
A troll is internet speak for someone who puts out deliberately provocative or contrary comments in order to get a reaction from other readers. They don’t necessarily agree with what they themselves are saying… they just love stirring the pot.Sebrina,
What is this “troll” I keep seeing. What is it you believe is this “troll”?

His prostate became inflamed, infected and he had problems urinating and extreme sharp pains in his anus.Really? Hmmm. Do tell.
Again, really? Hmm. Do tell. I’ve never in my life heard that one before, that one can actually die from avoiding masturbation.
Practically suicide, huh? Hmm.
My cousin is 24 and I am 23. We are both in college, and live at home to avoid getting into too much debt. We both have difficulty getting into a relationship, because the sad fact is, most girls find it to be a turn off when men still live with their parents regardless of the situation, and we both are very fit. We work out 3-4 times a week, and not trying to be cocky, but I think we are both attractive guys. (I mean that in no way homosexual or incest towards my cousin.) lolBnt,
You only struggle with one thing. Praise the Lord. Do you know how many people in the world struggle with many things?
How old is your cousin?
Is your cousin married?
What is the name of the disorder your cousin was told that he had as it regards his Prostate?
And I’m saying I’d take a bet that antibiotics were probably administered and helped with the infection. And I’d take an even more sizeable bet that masturbation was by no means the only option available as far as treatment goes. His prostate became inflamed, infected and he had problems urinating and extreme sharp pains in is anus.
I’m saying that if he didn’t masturbate, his problem would have gotten worse, and probably become cancerous.
I’m not lying!
The doctor is actually one of our close friends. He’s been in practice for 30 years, and is also tithed with his church. Non denominational, but he’s a very smart man, and down to earth. Masturbation was the first thing he brought up to my cousin. He told him to do it twice a week and if the problem continued he would give him medication. The problem did clear up though from the doctors first recommendation.Your friend needs to find a new doctor and quick. It seems like he/she doesn’t know what he/she is talking about and your cousin’s physical and spiritual health is in danger. He seems to have a serious medical issue that masturbation cannot solve. I have never heard of a medical condition where masturbation is the primary or the best way of treating it. It is likely that your friends problem will get worse eventually even with masturbation. He needs medication.
Nope, no medication what so ever. I promise. And I’m saying I’d take a bet that antibiotics were probably administered and helped with the infection. And I’d take an even more sizeable bet that masturbation was by no means the only option available as far as treatment goes.
It’s a bit like saying you need to cut your ears off so you don’t have to wash behind them. Cutting your ears off might indeed help with the hygiene aspect, but certainly doesn’t mean anyone, even those who have problems keeping clean behind the ears, actually need to resort to cutting their ears off.
But isn’t that basically the same thing as cutting off your penis by not using it, instead of cleaning out your prostate from masturbating? Masturbation does keep your prostate in good health. That is a fact. It’s a bit like saying you need to cut your ears off so you don’t have to wash behind them. Thank you for excellently proving my point - as I was saying all along, your brother by no means HAD to masturbate, since the medication was there and an available and workable alternative. THe doctor wouldn’t have mentioned it if it wasn’t.The doctor is actually one of our close friends. He’s been in practice for 30 years, and is also tithed with his church. Not at all - even your doctor said that the condition could be helped by medication. No chance of said prostate problems developing into anything serious if he’d used the medication as his first option instead of his last resort. Hence no need for masturbation. But isn’t that basically the same thing as cutting off your penis by not using it, instead of cleaning out your prostate from masturbating? My cousin, not my brother, but that’s no big deal. lolThank you for excellently proving my point - as I was saying all along, your brother by no means HAD to masturbate, since the medication was there and an available and workable alternative. THe doctor wouldn’t have mentioned it if it wasn’t.
It’s a bit like me having a problem (say, lots of bills to pay) and instead of taking the more difficult but morally correct route and working more overtime to earn the money I need, taking the superficially easier but immoral option and dealing drugs or robbing a bank to get those bills paid.
The end no more justifies the means in your brother’s case than in the case of the hypothetically strapped-for-cash bank robber in my scenario.![]()
Murder is natural. Gluttony is natural. Greed for money and power are natural. Homosexuality is natural. Adultery is natural. All the sins, big and small, are natural and have been since the Fall.My cousin, not my brother, but that’s no big deal. lol
I understand what you mean, but there is no better solution than doing something the natural way, rather than taking prescription drugs. For example, would it not be better to eat healthy than to take vitamins?
My cousin doesn’t like to take any medicine unless he absolutely has too. Not even Tylenol. I joke with him and tell he he should become a Christian Scientist all of the time. Hehe![]()
I think there is a fine line between murder and masturbation. Btw, I hope I’m not offending people on here. This is just something that has been on my heart for a long, long time now. And when my cousin’s issue happened, it affected my faith in that area.Murder is natural. Gluttony is natural. Greed for money and power are natural. Homosexuality is natural. Adultery is natural. All the sins are natural and have been since the Fall. We are not here merely to conform to fallen nature.
