Although I do think the more you focus on getting your actual life on track, the less you’ll be bothered by this sort of stuff.

I guess I mean while true suffering in the world exists I mean as in the areas of what writers contribute to the world, art can reflect the values of our culture and society

Also as you mentioned not many people here know which shows I’m talking about but if you gave them a watch I think you would know what I mean(not as an insult! I mean if you knew the show that I’m talking about)

I just will never do tragic romance, tragic romance to me is what kryptonite is to Superman(with very select exceptions)

And like I said, there are those online who like the current hellbent on coverting others to their tastes and resort to Ad Homeniem if they have to.
 
Also for your whole “mixed bag” thing, that maybe for people like you, but people like me see it differently

I’ll use for Fullmetal Alchemist I’ll try to nutshell it as best as I can what think is a “mixed bag”

There was once a slave named Van Hoenheim who made friends with a homonoculus creature who used him to create a full body of his own and grand him and Hoenheim made a tragic mistake because the creature did it by eating all the souls in the city he lived in

Thousands of years he lived alone until he met a woman she loved, they got married and had two beautiful baby boys. Edward and Alphonse Elric

But the monster that he unwittingly made a pact with came back mimicking his form, threatening his family and town near by. He had to leave

The boys loved their mother very much, but at the age of 5, their mother died of an illness.

Then the boys repeated their father’s mistake by trying to play god, they used alchemy to attempt to conjure their mother back to the living

Edward lost his left arm and right leg

Al’s soul trapped in a suit of armor

They were taken in by Winry’s grandmother

They later great up to be the youngest elite state alchemists, under a kind but brash superior Roy Mustang, and his partner/love interest Riza Hawkeye and the wonderful Husband/Father Major Hughes

One mission, they were sent to investigate a single father who was a scientist, only his daughter and dog to keep him company

One night during their stay, they saw the most horrendous thing. The father out of his mad idolatry of science fused his own daughter and dog into a Chimera, and before that his own wife

This SHOOK the brothers

later on dead government projects of such sickening magnitude followed. The danger the brothers and their superiror get into worries Winry, the girlfriend of Ed, and Riza over Roy

One point Winry tried to kill the one who murdered her parents, but Ed had to restrain her from become a vengeful miserable soul, she stopped but not before breaking down into tears of frustration and anguish

After horrendous discovery after discovery the brothers find a conspiracy lead by the monster that ruined father’s life who goes now by the name of “Father” with his 7 Homonculi children

one of them Envy, under the guise of Hughes’s wife SHOOTS HIM DEAD leaving his daughter and child ALONE

Countless of people are murdered in Gluttony’s rampage

in the final battle Ed slays Father and saves the down, and gives up his ability to perform alchemy in order to gain his brothers body back, after his brother gives his life to give Ed and whole arm.Ed makes amends to his father who now finally over his shame begs for forgiveness for not being there for them when they needed him the most. They both made it after the horror’s they have witnessed, and Hoenhiem could finally die meeting his wife in the afterlife knowing his children are happy

And they return home, where Winry welcomes them with open arms, Ed and Winry get married and have a few children of their own.

The Brothers, after all that hell, had a family again.

I ask you this, after all what the brothers went through does that sound like a “100% unambiguously happy” ending to you?

No one is calling you an “obsessive fool.” We just are worried that you are becoming obsessive.
I understand that writing is probably an outlet for you.
 
keep telling myself they’re not real and its not worth getting overly attached too but its easier to do that when the characters are words on a page than animated especially in CGI

I want to change their story and give them their happy endings

And I feel like that people who do like “life inst a fairytale” taste are forcing their taste onto others.

Like instead of the Waffen SS they’re the Martin RR, goosestepping all over mediums of storytelling chanting “Realistic! Realistic! Consequences! Consequences! Realistic! Realistic! That’s life! That’s Life!”

Those who like bittersweet are “The Übermensch” in other words, mentally and morally superior to all others

and people of my taste are lunatics or subhuman

I mean I would never go annie wilkies on anyone, I know thats not okay

and I know the writer doesn’t owe me anything

But it seems the people who like Game of Thrones or whatever BoomBoomMancini described are getting everything their way

“Don’t act so entitled”-says the one whose demographic seems to be the only one being listen to and answered

“That’s your opinion”-Says the one whose opinion and tastes are always made reality and put on TV, Netflix, Video Games, and The big Screen

“Be grateful with what you have” says the pompous tyrant to the ragged peasant.

You have told us all this.
You have Aspergers, it is not uncommon to fixate on things and events. Do you have coping skills to stop and move on? I suggest that you need to tell your therapist that you fixate when you encounter these problems.
Also, you do not like being called names. Therefore it is not fair for you to compare other posters on writing forums to the “Waffen SS.”
There is a big difference in saying something mean and using a group in the Nazi Party as a descriptive term.

I do, its just memories of those cyberbullies can echo in my head sometimes and I have developed coping mechanisms

and I don’t mean to compare to REAL Nazis, and I’m referring to other people outside the Catholic Answer forums, I know everyone here means well, The people I’m talking about go around telling others what they like is stupid and they should kill themselves, and they very predominant in Fandoms

I don’t know if everyone here has heard of them, but they’re are VERY vile people online who are so edgy they tell people to kill themselves or “get help” and not in the way you guys mean it.

Maybe the answer is to take a break from the internet, or simply not read comments.
 
Then you seriously need to leave out of those places. Now, in order to help you, I suggest you mute this thread. Or ask a moderator to close it down.
 
Do you know any moderators? I haven’t closed down a threat before
 
I once again apologize for others listening to my ramblings, I never do this but the negativity just came very badly these past two days
