But so do those who worship satan. So do those who worship themselves as gods. Acknowledging the existence of a divine being does not make a belief true or good I believe.{/QUOTE]
Well there is the TRUTH in it. The existence of a God or god or deity. Now once sin enters, then the truth becomes warped and changed. However the very acceptance that there is a divine being/ God, where as some would deny this is the truth. At least from my understanding.
Some also worship the nature as a divine entity in and of itself and believe that all things are one and a part of their god/gods and can be worshipped (including people) as such. That does not sound in any way christian to me. Worship is due only to the Creator alone not to His creation.
– here is another pro life wiccan standing out.
The deity? I’m not to sure about that. Can you coroberate that with support by official Church references? I’m not sure that if a witch knows about Jesus Christ and deliberately invokes a pagan god or goddess with the deliberate intent to seek their assistance in helping someone out of the goodness of their hearts, I don’t think that the prayers will go to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob automatically as this would be against free will would it not?
No you misunderstood me I think. If the witch KNEW about Jesus, but prayed to whatever ‘deity’ other than Him, it wouldn’t go so well, even if tiwas well meaning. It would only be if they did NOT know about Jesus or ever got a chance to, and did so that I think it would work the other way around. UNLESS of course the deity prayed to was blood thirsty and the prayers represented to it was fundamentally opposed to Christianity aka human/animal sacrifice, sexual intercorse, etc. THEN it still would not work. Otherwise, I believe they’d reach Jesus’ ears.
And I agree with this. But I don’t think anyone was talking about good and evil people here. We are talking about the practices and beliefs not the intentions of the people. White magic is still forbidden by God.
Yes but if a person DIDN’T realize that He forbid it, never knowing, I think He’d understand. SO LONG as the person doing it DIDN’T REALIZE its forbidden. Once known, then and if they were to STILL do it, then its not going to go well. Of course my personal opinion, I don’t dare to speak for the Lord on the issue. But pov is that people in areas (even America) do not necessarily have the chance to REALLY know Jesus. And I can’t See Him punishiing them for that.
No person is without sin just as no person is without goodness. Few people in the developed world today (the majority of wiccans we are talking about) have never heard about Jesus and don’t know him. I can also testify that many (not sure how many) that I have listened to have admitted to being born into Christian homes so that ignorance of Jesus is no excuse for them.
No you are absolutely right there, few are they that DON’T knw or have the chance to KNOW Him. And those that were in Christian religious who knew or were told, aren’t as lucky as those who didn’t. I won’t argue that point.
But to play a little devil’s advocate how many REALLY knew Him to begin with? In this age of saying, ‘well its impoosibe to prove He existed’. and neglitgiant parents and pastors, there are those who have Heard HIS name, but not known anything ABOUT HIM OR HIS WORDS. Now that is RARE but it does happen.
AGAIN NOT DEFENDING MAGICK nor am I SAYING that what Wiccans DO is good. BUT AGAIN I am DEFENDING what the Holy Spirit and the Church have said. THERE IS SOME TRUTH IN EVERY RELIGION. And as WICCA is a RELIGION, there by definition MUST be SOME TRUTH in it.
