So does that now mean you no longer will attend his church and become Catholic, you lose your salvation? Then OSAS is obviously bogus. Christ death on the cross does not guarantee anyone a free ticket for salvation. My Pastor brought up security of the believer and made it abundantly clear that it was not a position that he would even discuss and if he was questioned on it he would get angry because anyone who questions OSAS is saying that Jesus death on the cross was insufficient and even worthless and that is blasphemy. Since he won’t allow questions:
#1. is there anyone who can enlighten me on how someone exercising their free will to turn away from the Lord (after initially being “saved”) is somehow making Christ’s sacrifice in vain?
#2. why someone like myself and my Husband who have been faithful church members for years and considered to be strong, mature Christians will now no longer be thought of as saved/going to heaven (or even Christians anymore for that matter) because we are joining the Catholic church?![]()
