I cannot say that this is the teaching of the RCC, but if I recall correctly, I did read it in a book written by a Catholic Bishop. If one believes that God is the source of all Life, then one can come to the conclusion that God is present and required for every heart beat.Is this your belief or a teaching of the RCC, that God generates every heart beat (and some arrhythmias too, it follows)? Is the use of a man-made pacemaker then a sacrilege (act against the will of God)?
No, I do not believe that a man-made pacemaker is against the will of God. A man-made pacemaker is an attempt by man to extend the Life of another human being. An attempt to extend the Life of another human being without violating the Life of another human being in any way, shape or form, is a good thing. That being said, even with a man-made pacemaker, God is present and required. He can stop the pacemaker if that is His will.
