No. I have placed all my faith in Jesus and His finished work on the cross. I believe that He is the Son of God who paid for my sins on the cross with His blood. I believe He died and was resurrected by the power God. I also repent of my sins.

The Holy Spirit used Petros (Masculine for Rock) and Petra ( Feminine for Rock ).
If the Holy Spirit had meant to say pebble, it would have used “Lithos”.
1 Cor 10.4 refers to the rock in the OT and does not mean the rock of Matthew.
The upper case of rock in 1 Cor 10.4 tells us that it is not a reference to the lower case rock in Matthew 16:18
Rock = Jesus
rock = Peter
There is a distinct difference.
Just as the distinction of god and God.
God = the one true God
god = Satan as used in 2 Cor 4:3-4

Why don’t you do the same and join the His church by faith in Jesus? This rock thing is not going get you into heaven.

Ah, and I see you do not believe in hell either. You disagree with the whole of Christianity for the last 2000 years. So not only do you disagree with the interpretation of scripture with the Catholic Church, but with most all of Christianity also.

But I will give the one that I have memorized.
Jesus gave priests the authority to forgive sins in John 20:21-23. God is the only one who forgives sins and He has chosen to do so through men just as He chooses to heal people physically through men.
I have not read past this post, so it probably has already been answered or will be, but I will check back tomorrow.

The 12 apostles judge the 12 tribes of Israel BUT Paul was the apostle to the gentiles. The church was called out of the gentiles… not the Jews. Paul is the masterbuilder of the faith.

I’m saved and I know it. It must bother you guys that I know for a fact that I’m going to heaven. I have everlasting life according to the promise. I’m Abraham’s seed by faith. I follow the teachings of Paul. The cornerstone of my foundation is Jesus then follows the apostles and prophets. I don’t have to do religious stuff. Jesus said believe in Him and repent.
I am the “whosoever believeth” in the verses below. Notice how it does not say whosoever joins the roman catholic church, gets baptized by water, goes to RCIA, attends mass, etc… It says… whosoever ever believeth. How much clearer must that be?
Jhn 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Jhn 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Joh 3:20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.
Joh 3:21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.” (from the ESV)
Are all your works good? Do you ever do anything that is wicked?

You use Mat 7:21 like this is your verse. Then you need to be reminded of Mat 7:5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.
It is not called the Catholic Church. Just look at how you must join the roman catholic church. It contradicts what Jesus said. Jesus said believe and repent.

Actually the term is believe on Him.

I don’t get your point.
I have faith which is the hope of eternal life by faith in Jesus Christ. My faith isn’t alone. I do good works like help out a brother when in need just like scripture says.

How can you say so surely that you are saved?
And that you only have to believe in Jesus, that He died for our sins, and that gives you salvation?
What about doing all the things that Jesus asked us to do? E.G feeding the poor, clothing the naked, etc.
Do you feel you don’t have to do them too?
What if you go out tomorrow and commit murder? Are you still saved as you still believe?
