So you are Catholic?Yes.
So you are Catholic?Yes.
No. I have placed all my faith in Jesus and His finished work on the cross. I believe that He is the Son of God who paid for my sins on the cross with His blood. I believe He died and was resurrected by the power God. I also repent of my sins.So you are Catholic?
same hereNo. I have placed all my faith in Jesus and His finished work on the cross. I believe that He is the Son of God who paid for my sins on the cross with His blood. I believe He died and was resurrected by the power God. I also repent of my sins.
According to Jesus… You’re a member of His church.same here
Yes let’s find out what the Word of God really says and not what Satan has proclaimed.Let’s find out what the Word of God really says.
The Holy Spirit used Petros (pebble) and Petra (immovable rock).
1Cr 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock (Petra) was Christ.
.
I’ll confess that Jesus is the Christ died and was risen from the dead. I’ll also repent. I’ll be blessed just like Peter because I know I’m saved. Good luck with believing a LIE.Yes let’s find out what the Word of God really says and not what Satan has proclaimed.
The Holy Spirit used Petros (Masculine for Rock) and Petra ( Feminine for Rock ).
If the Holy Spirit had meant to say pebble, it would have used “Lithos”.
1 Cor 10.4 refers to the rock in the OT and does not mean the rock of Matthew.
The upper case of rock in 1 Cor 10.4 tells us that it is not a reference to the lower case rock in Matthew 16:18
Rock = Jesus
rock = Peter
There is a distinct difference.
Just as the distinction of god and God.
God = the one true God
god = Satan as used in 2 Cor 4:3-4
According to your interpretation. That passage is refering to a sinner being saved. The sinner receives the baptism of the Holy Spirit and his bad works are burned up. It happens while a person is alive not after they have died.
There is no such place as purgatory or hell for that matter. God is not going to punish people before judgment is passed on the wicked. Nobody is burning right now in a literal burning fire. You make my loving God out to be some sadist.
AHH, gotta go to work…Infant baptism is not Bibical.
Priests being able to forgive sins is not Bibical. Only God can forgive sins.
Popes claiming to be God hidden behind a veil of flesh is not Bibical.
Yea but that was for the Jews.AHH, gotta go to work…
But I will give the one that I have memorized.
Jesus gave priests the authority to forgive sins in John 20:21-23. God is the only one who forgives sins and He has chosen to do so through men just as He chooses to heal people physically through men.
I have not read past this post, so it probably has already been answered or will be, but I will check back tomorrow.
Have a blessed day.
As you should and as I and All Catholics do.I’ll confess that Jesus is the Christ died and was risen from the dead.
As you should and as I and All Catholics do.l also repent.
Are you? You don’t sound saved. You sound judgemental, you sound condemning.I’ll be blessed just like Peter because I know I’m saved.
What lie. I believe what the Bible says. You are the one that does not believe.Good luck with believing a LIE.
I already have. It’s called the Catholic Church. Why don’t you do the same and join the His church by faith in Jesus?
True. How do you get the idea that it does? This rock thing is not going get you into heaven.
The two verses are not related. Nice try avoiding the truth.Yea but that was for the Jews.
Mat 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
The 12 apostles judge the 12 tribes of Israel BUT Paul was the apostle to the gentiles. The church was called out of the gentiles… not the Jews. Paul is the masterbuilder of the faith.
I’m saved and I know it. It must bother you guys that I know for a fact that I’m going to heaven. I have everlasting life according to the promise. I’m Abraham’s seed by faith. I follow the teachings of Paul. The cornerstone of my foundation is Jesus then follows the apostles and prophets. I don’t have to do religious stuff. Jesus said believe in Him and repent. As you should and as I and All Catholics do.

Are you? You don’t sound saved. You sound judgemental, you sound condemning.
Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
What lie. I believe what the Bible says. You are the one that does not believe.

True. How do you get the idea that it does?
On the other hand, the rock issue is the truth of Jesus. You can either accept the truth or reject it.
Here is what some well know Protestant Scholars have to say about the “Rock” issue.

believe or reject at your own risk…
Yes they most definitely are related. They are all sitting on thrones and they will be judging the 12 tribes of Israel. The two verses are not related. Nice try avoiding the truth.

I am the “whosoever believeth” in the verses below. Notice how it does not say whosoever joins the roman catholic church, gets baptized by water, goes to RCIA, attends mass, etc… It says… whosoever ever believeth. How much clearer must that be.
Jhn 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Jhn 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

You use Mat 7:21 like this is your verse. Then you need to be reminded of Mat 7:5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.As you should and as I and All Catholics do.

Actually the term is believe on Him.Hello,
And to you, what does it mean to believe?
I don’t get your point. You didn’t read these verses, though.
Joh 3:19 “And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.
Joh 3:20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.
Joh 3:21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.” (from the ESV)
Are all your works good? Do you ever do anything that is wicked?
God’s first creation celebrates and remembers his physical creation of man and the universe and the saving of his people Israel from the bondage of servile slavery. This first creation leads to a more perfect creation and saving of god’s people “the body of Christ”.MariaG, I’m a catholic as well and would hate to see you leave, but I’ll challenge you on another topic. This topic has been gone over before but, the commandment says to Remember the Sabbath and keep it…Saturday is the Sabbath. I know the appostles met on Sundays, but they still went to temple on Sat. Also , (pardon the paraphrase) Heaven and earth will pass away but the law will never change. I’m no 7th day, but I think they may have a point here.
How can you say so surely that you are saved?Actually the term is believe on Him.
I believe on the finished work of Jesus on the cross. In other words, I believe that Jesus Christ paid for my sins in full on the cross with His own blood. He died and was resurrected by the power of God. I place all of my faith in Jesus Christ that I may be found in him. According to His promise, I believe and repent, I am baptized with the Holy Spirit. I have eternal life.
