The lines I added in post # 348 are under false pretenses (my guess was really wrong), but the lines are out there, so I’ll add a clue just to keep things going.

“I’ve given the Navy 7 good years, I think I’ve served my country…”

“You don’t know the 1st thing about serving your country.”

Clues:
“I shouldn’t have left Sackow.” (unsure of spelling)
Based on true story.
This movie was made in 2001, & 1 of the lead’s initials are G.H. …

Wow. I’ve never seen it, but I sure would like to! :yup:
Okay, I’m getting antsy…I want someone to see this film. Some people have hated it; some think it is a masterpiece. made in 1998, it also stars Tony Shaloub, Alfred Molina, Allison Janney, Isabella Rossellini, Campbell Scott, Dana Ivey, among others. The director starred in it and he also directed and produced an earlier film about a restaurant. It gets a bit weird at times but overall is a good tribute to screwball comedies of the 30’s.

Tony Shaloub, too?! I’m sold.

I cheated and went to IMDB, so I won’t give the answer. Looks like a good movie though.

You can go ahead and tell now, MHalsey…Folks want to see it or move on in this game. In my weird book of game ethics, it would be better that you snuck a peak and told, than for me, the questioner, to give it away.

If you insist. Is it… The Impostors?

“Stop trying to hit me and hit me!”
The Matrix

“There are two things I know to be true. There’s no difference between good flan and bad flan, and there is no war.”

"He has blustered his way to success on the backs of the great supporting players for too long and it’s time for us to make a stand and say. ‘No. No, Burtom, Be gone!’ It is time for us to say, ‘No. boozy boy. Bye bye, Burtom. Have at the bad boy! Boozy, boozy bad boy. Greasy boy. Saggy farty boy. I poke you. I poke you. I poke you.’…something like that.

YESSSSSS! It IS “The Impostors” with Stanley Tucci (also directed) and Oliver Platt as two struggling actors in this odd tribute to Laurel & Hardy-type comedies of the 30’s. Kind of quaint, quirky, weird, dark, and silly.

I will now eat some flan and take a long nap.

Thanks, Auntie A! I can’t wait to get a hold of this movie. Oliver Platt, Tony Shaloub … gotta be pure gold.

Only one warning on “The Impostors”: the language gets a bit potty-mouthed at times, unlike the actual 30’s screwball comedies that knew how to be bawdy and clean (watch Groucho Marx).

“Government intelligence. Now there’s a contradiction in terms.”

Could it be “Conspiracy Theory”?

Heh, try this one:

“Doctor, there’s a war going on. Nobody’s young anymore.”

Hi, guys, our game is waning a bit, but still going… If you have a quote that hasn’t been guessed yet, do you mind giving clues? There are some tough but good quotes out there…
