Two of the kitties, Sweet Pea and Gracie, napped. George briefly came out from under the bureau, Don’t know whether he’s eaten yet. But I’m hoping he will today.
Said a prayer for all of you!

Thank you. We need it.

Shared my egg salad sandwich with Sweet Pea, who wanted my food and his.

My rescue dog, Sadie, is having a bad time with the cold snap…she’s the first short-haired dog we’ve had, and, even with her store-bought coat, she can’t walk as much as she wants to…before the cold snap, we were doing 5 - 6 miles a day…now, we are limited to 15-20 minutes [vet’s orders].
She likes to share my breakfast after she eats hers…everything but the yogurt.
Greek yogurt, a homemade bran muffin [Sadie’s favorite], an apple, and tomato juice.

Chicken soup for breakfast. Debating whether to make more soup, chili or burritos for lunch.

Can’t go wrong with soup, but I’d vote for the chili…Barb [my wife] made a big batch last week…hers was on the mild side, and mine was a spiritual experience.

I may do them all. I’m sooo cold today. (They weren’t kidding when they said the bottom was going to fall out after one day of being above freezing.)

May add cocoa to the list.

We haven’t had our break from the deep freeze yet…Sunday should be the day for the warmup - maybe into the 30’s!
Hit the Mexican restaurant again…our Thursday night date night…
Chips and salsa/pico de gallo, chicken tortilla soup [a good warmer-upper], grilled chicken burritos with chipotle sauce, and a nice salad, washed down with a tall Dos Equis Ambar.

For our dinner I made oven-roasted chicken thighs with mashed potatoes and brown gravy, and a sweet and spicy stir-fry veggie mix, with some Diet 7-Up to drink.

Sounds great…I’d substitute a German lager for the Diet 7-Up, but only because my gut doesn’t tolerate artificial sweeteners…

My drinking days are long over…

I used to like lagers and pale ales. No more for me, for health reasons, though.

Your Mexican meals always sound so delicious! 🙂

We have some Mexican restaurants in our area that we need to check out, that are supposed to be really good, too.

Burritos and a swig of water.

Not sure what breakfast will be.

(Breakfast was burritos again.)

A quesadilla that had cream cheese with it, and coffee, which is what I’m drinking right now

Greek yogurt, leftover pizza, and tomato juice. [Breakfast of Champions!!]

A cup of coffee,then a cup of hot chocolate …with some coffee in it.Contemplating eating a banana…

Mine too as alcohol doesn’t mix well with insulin.
My brother had Type 2 diabetes and got rid of it. His A1C was 13; now it’s 4.1. Blood sugar in the 70s and 80s on waking. He got rid of it with exercise and a diet prescribed by Joel Fuhrman, a physician. I don’t know if it would work for you, but it sure worked for him. Dr. Fuhrman has a Website.

Joel Fuhrman,
I know of him and his diet is has helped me a lot. I only discovered it in late October. I’ve been able to lower my insulin doses quite a bit, His diet is a work in progress.

Thanks for posting that too as others may find it useful too.
