Potato chips and Ensure. (I’m out of Krispy Kremes.)
I’m at the other extreme. I’ve had one or two doughnuts in the past fifteen years. 😱 Don’t like ro eat sugar or processed food.

Oatmeal, whole wheat toast, and orange juice.

I had an English Muffin with a bit of Philadelphia Cream Cheese and black coffee.
Tonight is grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup. :plate_with_cutlery:

I’m getting ready to make dinner. I’m having grilled aubergine (eggplant), rice, asparagus, a salad with fresh mozzarella, avocado, and tomatoes, with flavored avocado oil, and bread with the flavored oil. And rose’ wine.
My husband’s skipping the broiled eggplant and having chicken kabobs instead.
(I’m trying to eat vegetarian)

Krispy Kremes are my weakness. But I rarely have them. Today, I ordered our groceries for one week (I usually shop for the whole month). No Krispy Kremes on the list. I got Mama’s V8 juice and a few things for Lent.

Until the groceries come, cough drops would be considered my “food” along with flu meds.

I eat salmon and tuna once in a while, but otherwise I stick to plant-based foods. Healthier.

I hope they come soon! Cough drops are no fun as food!
Just arrived. Devouring sandwich. You’d think I hadn’t eaten in years. Very bland (mushrooms and cheese, no condiments) but at least, it’s solid food. Hopefully, it’ll stay down. Drinking seltzer water.

More seltzer water. Getting a new water heater installed today. Water will be off at the main until it’s installed. So thankful for all of my bottled waters.

So it was the water heater causing the problem. Glad it is getting fixed.

Yep. Our plumber was here in minutes of my calling him. He took one look and said it was definitely the water heater. The water has been such a light area. Then I went in to fix Mama’s lunch (tuna fish sandwich) and it was gushing all over the floor. I turned off the water at the box in back. He went to take care of appts that he couldn’t put off and said he’d be back with a new water heater by this evening.

I am taking the opportunity to get as much moved outside or to another part of the room so he can work freely. Just praying we don’t have rain since I’ll never get it all back inside today.

Cheese pizza. Not my usual, but good.

Turkey cheddar dogs on whole wheat buns with kimchi, spicy mustard & caraway seeds.

Still pretty tasty, but man, I have such a soft spot for spongy white bread 😦 😄 Inner voice told me to grab the whole wheat.

You sound like a fairly healthy eater CL.

I don’t eat much bread, either, GF, but I love to smell it baking. I am a very healthy eater 99.9% of the time because I never want to be sick. I’ve been in a an auto accident, but other than that, the sickest I’ve ever been is a common cold. I try to stick to a plant-based diet, no sugary or processed foods, all organic. I can’t eat much because I’m so small, only 100-110 lbs. and only 5’0", so I really have to be careful.

Can I ask was the accident fairly recent?
I supliment with a few basics, and for the rest of it try and eat as my parents do,meat and potatoes people 🙂
Since having children I tend to graze more, smaller meals and more often…seems to work.
You are a fine build CL 🙂 I have to keep away from lots of processed foods to keep hormones regulated, kind of an interesting journey working out what suits your body.

Fairly recent, yes, within the past six months. That’s why I’m going to the dentist all the time. I had two implants placed recently and four crowns. Need two more implants and at least one more crown.

I could live on bread and cheese, but I rarely eat it. Maybe two, three times a year. The staple in my diet is a completely vegetarian soup that keeps weight off and is supposed to ward off cancer and diabetes. My oldest brother had type 2 diabetes, and within two months of eating this soup, he was off metformin and his blood sugar has normalized, so I know it can work for that. That soup is usually my dinner. Breakfast is usually oatmeal and whole wheat toast with a little fresh orange juice or a berry smoothie in place of the oatmeal, etc. Lunch is a green smoothie or a salad with whole grains and pumpkin or sunflower seeds. I never snack. Nothing carbonated - hard on the kidneys. (I did have a Coke the other day, though, but I let it go flat before drinking.) I only drink one three, four times a year, sometimes not that often.

I did not grow up eating like this. My mother was from Brazil, and she loved all the Brazilian foods. I like them, but most aren’t that healthy, and they can be fattening.

Edit: Typo

I don’t want any of this!

Carbonated beverage consumption has been linked with diabetes, hypertension, and kidney stones, all risk factors for chronic kidney disease. Cola beverages, in particular, contain phosphoric acid and have been associated with urinary changes that promote kidney stones.
