For our dinner tonight, I made “Mom’s meatloaf.” It’s something that one of our area supermarkets makes up for their customers.

It’s a combination of a beef and pork meatloaf blend that you take home and bake in your oven.

They put it together already seasoned with everything in it that you would use to make meatloaf.

It even comes in a nice aluminum foil loaf pan, so that all that you have to do is just bake it.

It costs the same as the market’s meatloaf mix that you would have to mix together and then season and put into a pan, and so on.

You don’t have to do any seasoning or mixing to it, or add anything to it.

You just decide what kind of sides you want to serve with it, and if you want gravy with it, etc.

My husband loves meatloaf, and I liked the idea of just putting it into the oven and baking it.

The market also had a special on Baby Bella mushrooms, so I sauteed those and served those with the meatloaf, and served some brown gravy with it too, along with some garlic mashed potatoes, some yellow wax beans, a small green salad and some leftover rice pilaf.

I had cold bottled water to drink, and as I type this, I’m finishing off a Nestle Splash Acai-Grape drink.

Did you have to rinse it before eating it? I was told that’s what you have to do to make it not taste so tangy.

Ohhh, those giant pickles are soo good!

You don’t see those around so much anymore, like you used to.

Some places still have them, but they’re hard to find. If you see them, they’re usually in the Deli section.

Mama is having a piece of fish and a baked potato for breakfast. I haven’t decided what I’m having. Maybe soup or bone broth.

Lots of green leafy vegetables like spinach, kale and such with maybe some fruit added. I usually skip the fruit part but add a wee bit of apple vinegar along with some Tabasco sauce and Flax or Chia seeds.

The apple cider vinegar and Tobasco sauce are an interesting touch 🙂 I would try a green smoothy if I didn’t mind the taste.
Spirulina is something I tried hard with, but couldn’t help thinking it smelt like dry dog food. How do you mask a taste like that I wonder?
