I don’t actually drink much these days, more for special occasions …not much fun on your own anyways 🙂
The more memorable are the unusual and just a small glass 🙂 And I can never remember their names haha.
How’s about you CL ? What’s your poison?
 
For dinner tonight we had herb roasted turkey thigh meat with turkey gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, and a small green salad with chocolate cake for dessert. I had cold bottled water to drink.

One of our area supermarkets has a special this week on herb-marinated turkey portions.

So, they’re on sale, and I told my husband to pick up some marinated thighs, as I love dark meat.

Ohh, did they ever smell so good, and old kitty girl was meowing for some when I took them out of the oven, but I couldn’t share with her because they were marinated in an herb and oil mix that included garlic and onion, which kitties can’t have.

I slow-roasted the thighs for us in the oven.

I told my husband that he should go back to the supermarket and get more turkey portions for us while the market has them on special.

I didn’t have to season them or do anything to them, except roast them. 😀

Potluck dinner after Mass today…something I always look forward to…good food, good variety, and great conversation…
Chicken and dumplings, kielbasa and sauerkraut, lasagna, stuffed peppers, meatloaf, etc, etc.

we’ve been parishioners here for 30 years…tonight, I met a woman who was in my 6th grade PSR class 25 years ago…great conversation…
 
Nothing yet. Going to wait til I go outside and check the house as well as my neighbor’s. Then I may need something strong.

The rain is out of here for a couple of days. Then we’re expected to get more rain and more storms.
 
If I didn’t have to travel a lot, I’d never see rain. Once in a blue moon would be overstating it. “It never rains in California” is true! At least in the south. But, I was in Portland, Oregon last week with a client, and it rained. Strange. As much as southern California needs rain, I still hate it.
 
Funny, I’ve seen it rain in CA many times. I was born there. I remember the adults freaking out about mudslides and earthquakes.

What part of SoCal needs rain? I’ll be glad to send them some after I finish my Toaster Scrambles.

Right now, all of it. Not the north. They get rain. But we don’t get any here in the south. We used to get a little, and there would be mudslides because we don’t have much vegetation on our mountains due to the dryness, but it seems every year, we get less and less rain. I like the constant sunshine, but I admit, some rain is necessary. I live nearly at the top of a mountain, so my house would have a long slide. Well, not really, as there are other houses it could slide into. If you know LA, I can see all the way from the Hollywood sign to Catalina Island. I have a 180 degree view. Love that! I was born here, too, and I wouldn’t want to live any place else.

Mama is going to have macaroni and beef. (We have to free up the freezer and hate to throw anything away that isn’t ruined or expired.

Not sure what I’m going to have. I had so much squash soup yesterday that I feel it’s coming out my pores. May have toaster strudel or bone broth.
