Chicken shawarma and ginger ale.
I have a Filipina friend in Jacksonville, FL, who has a small restaurant. She makes terrific Chicken Adobo and Cassava Cake, but the cake is very fattening! At my previous residence I lived two doors down from one of my coworkers who was FIlipino. Her friend jokingly called me ‘her son’ because she had many times invited me over for her food. Some of the stuff she made was pretty potent. I particularly remember the full slices of ginger she would sometimes use in her dishes. If you’ve ever cooked with ginger root, you know it’s pretty strong stuff except when diced small. Good for the gut too.

I hope so. I’ll definitely be ready for food by then. I expect I won’t be allowed to have anything hot for awhile. Even my broths will have to cool off before I have them.Hopefully, you can have the soup - and other things - after you heal. Definitely. It’ll either be in the thread I started in the “Prayer Intentions” forum or here or both. It’ll depend on how much time I have to post before I leave.ConstantLearner:![]()
