Mama has one more hard boiled egg to eat for breakfast.

I haven’t decided what I’m having yet. Maybe a sausage biscuit.
 
That sounds delicious Elizabeth! I love most things seafood,and just don’t get enough.It always seems so expensive here or hard to find.

There was a really nice whitefish…crab flavoured

It IS delicious. I don’t know where you are but here’s the recipe I use if you are able to adapt it to what you have available. I used crab flavored whitefish and it was just fine.
Code:
1/2 cup butter
1 onion, chopped
3 celery stalks, chopped
1 carrot, sliced thin or diced fine
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
3 cups chicken broth
2 tsp dried parsley
2 or 3 potatoes, peeled and diced
1 quart half-and-half cream
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 pound crabmeat
1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning TM
salt and pepper to taste
hot sauce and shredded cheddar cheese, optional
Directions

In a large stockpot, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions, celery and carrot; saute until onions are transparent, about 4 minutes.

Stir in flour, mixing well. Cook for about 1 minute, stirring constantly. Do not burn, or let it go lumpy. Add broth; stir until smooth. Bring to a boil. Stir in parsley and diced potato. Reduce heat and simmer for about 20 minutes.

Stir in cream, soy sauce, crab meat and seasonings. Raise heat to medium and allow to simmer about 10 min, stirring occasionally. Servewith a few drops of hot sauce stirred in and topped with shredded cheese if desired.
 
Thank you so much 🙂 It’s Autumn now,predictions of a cold Winter to come in Australia(hope it’s not true 😬 ) Having some really good recipes of soups will be invaluable !
 
I had my usual breakfast. You all know what it is by now. 😄

I have been adventurous and substituting cranberry juice for orange, though. 🤣

Greek yogurt, a bran muffin, an apple, a chunk of sharp cheddar cheese, and spiced tomato juice.
 
I phoned my surgeon’s office and found out they’d called the old phone number. (Forget the fact that I gave them the new one and they supposedly, wrote it down.)

Anyway, things are finally moving in the right direction. I have my dates.

I go to the hospital on April 2nd for Pre-Admission. Surgery will be on April 9 at 7:30am. Mama and I have to be there at 6am. We have a friend who will take us down and bring us back the next day. My follow up will be April 18 at 9:30am.

Now all I have to do is decide whether to reschedule my appt with my PCP which is on the 12th or try to keep it. I expect I’m going to feel pretty out of it when I get home.

Yes, you’ll probably still want to sleep when you come home. Glad your surgery is scheduled! 🙂

I had potato-leek soup again. Just water to drink. I’m very boring when it comes to food.

I would begin eating meat again for the things you cook. 🤣

I still eat a little meat now and then. I’m not a vegetarian.
 
Mama’s having fish for breakfast. And her flavored water. I will probably have a sausage egg cheese biscuit and diced potatoes. I didn’t have the potatoes yesterday.
 
The last thing I had to eat was dinner last night, which was a baked Chicken Kiev, some stuffing with craisins in it which I rehydrated first, green beans, and a small green salad.
 
Just black coffee, I am debating on having a pumpkin spice smoothie for a late breakfast early lunch.
