I do, too, Milt. Panera had a squash soup in the autumn that I loved and ate a lot. Better than I could make!
 
I had a Wendy’s “Four for Four (dollars).”

A double-stack burger, some chicken nuggets, a small french fry and a small diet cherry-vanilla flavored caffeine-free Coke.
 
Slumgullion, steamed broccoli, a fresh rye roll, and cold well water.
Chocolate pecan coffeecake for dessert.

[Did I mention that I married a world-class baker?]

I don’t even have to guess that your wife is an amazing cook and baker…❤️

I can just tell it from reading your posts, and from what you share with us! I admire what she cooks and bakes for your meals. I’d love to come and dine with you, any time! 😁
 
Roasted orange cauliflower head with chile powder, seaweed and garlic served with chickpea-infused penne pasta drizzled with olive oil. Seasoned with basil, parsley, black pepper, and a little sea salt. Two hard-boiled eggs topped with sauce of dijon mustard/balsamic vinegar/lemon.

Tall glass of coconut water & dark red wine.

York peppermint patty.

Just had a glass of grapefruit juice and a bowl of tortilla chips with salsa…at 2 a.m.

A bowl of steamed brown rice and later a cup of pudding with an antibiotic mixed in. Then later, some peach yogurt. Water.

This is what I posted in my thread in the Prayer Intentions forum.

"I FINALLY have confirmed dates and times!!!

I go in April 2 for Pre-Admission.

Surgery is April 9 at 7:30am. I have to be at the hospital at 6am.

Follow up appt is April 18 at 9:30am.

Keep praying. We sure do need them."
 
I had my greens juice before bed. For some reason, I felt like liquids yesterday even tho I did have 2 cheese quesadillas at different times of the day.

Mama will be having her egg this morning. I’ve had my vitamins but don’t know what I’m going to eat since we’ve got storms coming in shortly. Oh, if the rain and storms would just hold off til I can get Mama’s comforter in the dryer.

Thank you so much, Greenfields. We really need them. Mama’s getting nervous about the surgery. I told her just have them put her in my room and I’ll join her as soon as they let me out of Recovery.

Honestly, my main concern for her during my surgery is that her hands are so weak (arthritis) that she won’t be able to hold the pager or get to the phone quickly enough when my surgeon calls. Drs don’t do repeat calls. And while I’m going to try to arrange for someone to actually come and tell her when I’m out of surgery, there’s no guarantee they will.
 
I was just going to ask if you couldn’t find a sympathetic nurse to look in on your mother and inform her when you’re in recovery. Can the phone be moved closer to her? My sister had her cell phone with her in recovery! Don’t know how she managed that! She called me from the recovery room to tell me she was fine.
