For dinner tonight I made an Italian-style Pork steak, or a Porketta/Porchetta.
Our store had them on Special this week, and ready to cook, with a seasoned rub on them.
All that I had to do was roast it in the oven. It was a nice-sized steak. I wanted one that was just large enough for one or maybe two meals for us.
I added some olive oil to it, as I also roasted some baby carrots, celery and quartered sweet onion pieces with it. I added some seasoned salt and black pepper to the veggies.
I served some cooked egg noodles and brown pork gravy with it, on the side.
It turned out really good. The pork was a bit zesty with the spice rub on it.
It tasted like the spices that one would use for making Italian sausage. It was excellent, though.
