Name the worst movies ever made

Well for us left-leaning Independents, watching the real life events of 2000-2008 were enough to give one ebola virus with skin crawling so maybe a few liberal fantasy films are just what the doctor ordered to get our mind out of the Bush presidency!!

Hehe. I think we need a movie about the Bush presidency to round out this list. I might be conservative, but I wasn’t happy with how those 8 years turned out.
 
I’m a union rep for my school and a public education teacher. I actually voted twice for Bush :rolleyes:…But with this new GOP congress, they could run Attilla the Hun against them and I guess I’d have to go with the barbarous mongol on that one. What they’ve done in Wisconsin and other things get my blood boiling…

Anyway, we’re getting off topic. Let’s stick with awful movies.! Back to the show! may I present for everyone’s consideration the worst movie of all time next to Plan Nine…

Dracula vs. Frankenstein (director: Al Adamson)

We’ve got J. Carroll Naish at his all-time worst acting, a dracula with an afro and a decoder ring who talks through a microphone and has a purple face, a frankenstein played by John Bloom whose face looks like a smashed banana cream pie, and most hilariously of all Lon Chaney Jr. looking bloated and downright hilarious! 😛

I have to agree that Star Trek V was a turkey of a movie. Aside from the the terrible plot (Sybok turns people into love filled zombies on a quest to find God in the middle of the Milky Way galaxy), the movie premise was jarring given that Star Trek has always been an optimistic and humanistic piece that largely avoids the spiritual. Faith in God is not something that is often dealt with in Star Trek. When they finally do deal with a belief in God, its deflating to see it involve a space alien on a dead world which justly validates the humanistic skepticism latent in Star Trek.

I wish Shatner had just avoided the whole search for God premise of the movie.

On the other hand, Uhura’s fan dance was amusing.
 
I must admit I watched this. Debbie Gibson grew up in my home town and she was very nice. Too bad the public couldn’t see this for the blockbuster it should have been:

I LOVE MEGASHARK V. GIANT OCTOPUS, though I do admit you have to be kidding about “blockbuster”, it’s a B movie. But a wonderful B movie, it’s everything a scifi B movie should be and thus is extrodenarly entertaining.
 
Wow, out of all the TNG movies Generations is actually the real stand out for me. It had the most “big screen production” feel to it, and frankly it’s production values imho were superior to the rest of the lot for it’s era. The audio even on my home theater system is impressive.
 
The worst star trek flick doesn’t hold a candle to Dracula vs. Frankentstein. I can’t believe my buddy Jharek can’t throw a little love (or disgust) my way in the Drac vs. Frank pick! Come on dude! 😃
 
We’re not all going to pretend that Mega Python vs Gatoroid never was made, are we?

monster v. monster, and debbie gibson v. tiffany all in the same movie? With cut rate special effects? Why have I not heard of this until now?

I stand by my list. my criterion is “movies I walk out of even tho I paid good money” or if on cable/DSL, “movies that make me throw a brick through the set”

there are plenty of others that fill these standards, but those listed are the all time worst

Don’t love the ocean too much, it doesn’t love you back. Hahaha. 😃

I need to watch. I love cheesy monster movies. Tremors, Octopus, Bats, Godzilla (1998), Lake Placid, The Thing From Another World, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Eight Legged Freaks, The Night of the Comet, The Lost Boys, Gremlins.

My current favorite is probably Them! (giant ants). Awesome.

Probably the worst is Dreamcatcher. Oh, man. A lot of those movies I mentioned were riffing off of monster movies, etc. This one is just so unintentionally funny (although, as a warning, very gory in parts). It’s “special in its own way.”

My nephew told me the latest Godzilla movie out of Japan was great.

Of course I will never forget the famous tuck and roll move King Kong pulled on Godzilla in their showdown.
