Ghidra and Megalon, gotta love em!
My nephew told me the latest Godzilla movie out of Japan was great.

Of course I will never forget the famous tuck and roll move King Kong pulled on Godzilla in their showdown.

Any Vincent Price movie.

Went to a double feature and the first film was some Vincent Price movie that was SO bad, SO boring, the operator actually TURNED THE LIGHTS UP so people could visit and talk during the “film” … while we waited for the “main feature” … whatever that was.

Oh dude, I totally 100% MUST disagree…

I’m a tremendous Vincent fan. I have his autograph and have adored his movies since I was a kid. My family and friends all love him. He’s a horror icon and a very talented actor with a ton of class and great timing with tongue-and-cheek. He’s absolutely legendary to me…have to totally disagree…😦

I for got to mention Indiana Jones 4. Man that movie was awful. I was so mad that I had to wait 20 years for that garbage:P
I started watching Alien 3 and thought it was stupid.
I think the only movie I have ever walked out of was Sin City. I just thought it was so stupid.
I love Sin City; I think it’s hilarious. 😃

not the worst movie ever made, but certainly the biggest disappointment after all the hype and build-up when I finally saw it, eh, Titanic.

I have to admit, I find him hard to get into, as well. I’m used to a much faster pace of action. Anything made before 1995, I can’t watch any more - I want the victim murdered before the title starts to roll on; you can tell me his life story later - but please, only the highlights. And the scene with his orphaned child shouldn’t be too sappy or too long, either - just long enough to put the point across - I don’t want to babysit the kid; I just want to know he’s going to be okay. 😛

With the exception of the Star Wars prequels, the Lord of the Rings flicks, and the Marvel comic movies like X Men, Hulk, Spiderman, Iron Man, etc. I’m just opposite. Anything before 1995 sucks rocks IMO!

I think this cellphone, instant message, blackberry, email, fax instant gratification generation has actually ruined moviegoing because people can’t appreciate a build-up, eerie atmosphere, plot, suspense. They want a guy with a butcher knife to torture people a la “The Saw” or fly through the room like that idiotic Matrix stuff.

Vincent Price in the Edgar Allen Poe movies with Sam Arkoff producing and Roger Corman at the helm, like “Fall of the House of Usher,” good God those were eerie and well-done. Sad people can’t appreciate a good haunt anymore…😦

Honestly I was supprised “There will be blood” was so critically aclaimed for featureing this little “problem”. Lots of slow build up. I totally agree though, more often than not it’s the case that if the movie doesn’t just start with the battle scene, car chase, whatever, then people are already walking out the door.

I have to say I liked Mystery man. To my knowledge there weren’t many rude jokes and the story and premise was original and creative. My worst movies I ever saw have to be:

ALL the High School Musical films. No, I didn’t watch the 3rd one at all (because when it came out I was sane enough to not go watch it. Thank you Mother Mary!:)) but I did see them with my sister a few years ago. They’re bad just bad. Unoriginal story, bad acting, bad music, bad morals, etc… really, the main character couldn’t advance in the things that he wanted to do so as to not get disliked by his friends.

Garbage Pail Kids. Don’t as… AAAAAARGGHHHH! ITS THE GARBAGE PAIL KIDS!

You have been warned.

Dark Storm. Bad CGI, bad acting, a story that makes NO sense. Save yourself from this shipwreck!

Spiderman 1, 2 and 3; especially the third one. These films are so grossly overrated and they are so mindless. I’ll give a bit of credit to them for making Spiderman sympathetic but thats it, the films at most are passable.

Batman 1989. Another overrated film, with Batman’s character getting derailed. For one thing, this version of Batman instead of fighting crime to protect the innocent fights crime just to keep the law (alot like the brutal police found in the world today). Secondly, his character totally drops the ball when after he finds out that the Joker killed his parents, he becomes a murderer, and dons the Batsuit just to get revenge. This whole film is a broken Aesop, because we’re supposed to have sympathy for Batman and agree with his quest to fight crime yet how can we have sympathy for somebody who kills just like the people whom he is supposed to destroy? Maybe this is why Superman works alone!😉

The Room. The FUNNIEST film ever made. ts a masterpiece of cringe worthiness. You just HAVE to see this movie (but be careful of some scenes depicting nudity).

Furry Revenge. I bet half the movie is only filler. The plot is so unoriginal, the jokes are old and very unfunny and the CGI is even worse. Don’t waste your time on this film, I really mean it.

I don’t think that every film should have an Aesop’s moral. In fact, alot of films would be really faulty if they all had a grand theme or an Aesop’s moral but they all should add up to something in the end. That they scare you, shock you, make you cry, make you happy, that they give something new, entertain you, etc… Everyone loved Jurassic Park because of the revolutionary special effects and while it did not have a central theme, the characters were still likable and the story was good. The same goes for horror films such as A Nightmare on Elm street (probably the only decent movie which Wes Craven has ever made. Sure it was a bit gory and wasn’t very moral either but it was original, had a good story and it was terrifying) and Halloween. The same can’t be said for Wes Cravens other films and the Garbage Pail Kids movie; the former with their excessive violence and pornography. These films have no reason to exist other than to show what a sick man Craven was, and the latter because it had utterly no talent, no plot, no story, characters with no redeeming social value, broken aesops, no morality… there is nothing salvageable in this movie at all, according to the words of the Nostalgia critic, who also declared tis film to be the worst movie he ever reviewed.

You should check out Titanic II (seriously), much better!

My dad couldn’t stand watching that movie:). He turned the DVD off before things got truly out of hand.

Also, another movie I simply couldn’t believe when I saw was Dracula 3000. I expected it to be about Dracula in the near future and what did I get? Nothing. Forgetting about the obviously fake special effects, Dracula instead of being some immortal monster of the future was just a guy wearing a suit with white makeup. Thats it. And he was defeated by having his arm jammed between a heavy door and getting ripped off. And he cried when that happened.

Please, I simply BEG OF YOU, save yourself from this waste of time. It is so bad it’s horrible. It isn’t even so bad its good. It is stupid beyond belief.

I miss Vincent Price.

Heck, yeah. “Theatre of Blood” and “The Abominable Dr. Phibes” are the GREATEST ever!! 👍
When I saw your reply I thought it would surely be a post taking issue with my vote for worst movie of all time because it stars Patrick Stewart.

I’ve never seen it. Plus I’m not a Patrick Stewart apologist! 😃 I like him on ST: TNG and Dune, he was great on X-Men, too. But I haven’t seen him in everything by a LONGSHOT!

Patrick Stewart has always looked the same, and that makes him awesome… It’s a fact, he was born that way.

I think that’s almost his entire CV, plus “Lifeforce” and “Jeremy”.

Added: oh, and “Excalibur”.

Just for the record, I also think he’s awesome but he just happened to be in the most squirm-inducing movie of all time, especially if you are a teenage boy seated next to his parents as I was when it was released. (My sister, on the other hand, thinks he looks like Heckle and/or Jeckle, but don’t listen to her.)
