Movies So Bad, I Can Tell Without Even Seeing Them (mostly):

  • *]Borat
    *]Bruno
*]Just about any vehicle for Will Ferrel
*]About half of Ben Stiller’s resume
    *]Same for Jim Carrey

Just color me an old f@rt who does not appreciate the over-the-top, envelope-pushing, boundary-crossing ā€œhumorā€ perpetrated by these folks, especially Sascha Baron Cohen or Tom Green, when they involve Non-Player-Characters in their work.

  • That and they essentially play the same character in every movie they make. Couldn’t agree with you more!šŸ‘

Castaway.

Tom Hanks, on an island, having a monologue with a deflated ball with a face drawn on it.

HELP!!!

Blessings,

Gerry
The Beatles Help? That’s a classic considering the era and only one of three films with the fab 4 (unless you count Yellow Submarine, which did have a short cameo by them at the end)!

…Terms of Endearment
With Shirley MacLane and Debra Winger

A meandering story with no real point or plot. When this won an Academy Award, that was when I realized that that whole awards ceremony if phony and fixed.
Amen to that! Pretty much true of all such ā€œawardsā€ shows!

Some truely terrible films…

18 Year Old Virgin (Yes, it is as bad as it sounds).

The Piano (If only those characters veered further towards those cliffs…)

Eat, Pray, Love (Vomit)

IMHO, Jim Carrey has made some enjoyable movies. Watch The Majestic sometime.

I saw The Piano. Ewwww.

Of course, most people could use some conversion, but Cruise and Gibson are also sorely in need of brain transplants!

Here’s a delightful (NOT!) couple of little sci-fi classics that were on the hospital boob tube when I was sitting overnight with Mom when she recently had surgery. I can’t believe that these wastes of celluloid actually were accorded space in the local UHF station’s film morgue, or that some miscreant pulled them out and put them on the air.

The alternative channel in the hospital was twenty-four hours of basic health teaching. So I opted for these, and tried to sleep in the chair as much as possible.

ā€œMorons from Outer Spaceā€
ā€œThe Toxic Avengerā€

Worst movies I have seen:

Manos: The Hands of Fate
The Creeping Terror
Monster-a-Go-Go
The Coleman Francis Trilogy (Red Zone Cuba, Skydivers, & Beast of Yucca Flats)
Plan 9

and my personal favorite: Skeleton Man 😃

Coleman Francis? The Orson Welles of low-budget flicks? How can you call them anything less than brilliant?

šŸ˜›

The Master Gunfighter with Tom Laughlin (Billy Jack) at his most pretentious worst. Set vaguely in Southern California the history is so bad its funny. Gunfighters armed swords???

Well its scary movie series… i really don’t like any one of the series…

Pearl Harbor SUCKED. That and pretty much anything made by Michael Bay. I’m still going to see Transformers 3, but thats only because Skillet is gonna be on the soundtrack!

I am late to join this thread, so I don’t know if anyone has posted this or not, but ā€œFunny Gamesā€ (2007) is an awful, violent, stunningly disturbing, depressing movie. It is truly awful. I kept thinking something good would happen at the end, that good would win. That did not happen. While flipping through channels one evening, I only stopped on it because it had Naomi Watts in it and I had just seen her in something else, so I was curious. I shouldn’t have stopped. It was awful.

I also very late to this thread, but off the top of my head I would say:
  1. Philadelphia---------basically homosexuals are saints, the families of the homosexuals are all accepting and open-minded, and all big business is run by homophobic bigots.
  2. The Ocean’s Eleven movies----professional thieves are held up as heroes. Because they, like, only steal from ā€œbad people,ā€-----ya know?
  3. A Time To Kill-----basically vigilante programming for the masses. And no, everybody knows here I’m not a bleeding heart liberal. I lean towards the death penalty under some circumnstances. And I’m for throwing the book at some types of criminals. So don’t tag ME as ā€œone of those,ā€ allright? Frankly, also, I dislike anything John Grisham in general. Scott Turow is much, much better, to my mind.
  4. Avatar-----yes, I said it. Pantheistic, Pagan, Nature Worship Claptrap, plus a screed for the radical environmental movement-----as well as being just plain anti-human (forget the human race dying back on earth who need the mineral from Pandora----the race on this Edenic planet matters more!!!). Even the Vatican complained about this one.
  5. The Golden Compass------AntiCatholic, Anti-Christian, Anti-Religion propaganda movie, from openly Atheistic fantasy writer Phillip Pullman, who admitted in an interview that he wrote the book(s) to ā€œkill Christianity.ā€ The secular world and media, of course, loved the movies and books. 'Nuff said.
  6. An Inconvenient Truth-------yes, I said it as well. Al Gore condescending to you about stuff that may or may not be true. This is your brain. This your brain on the Global Warming Alarmism of Al Gore. Any questions?
  7. Paparazzi--------movie star starts killing off the paparazzi whom he blames for the near-death of his wife. Produced by Mel Gibson. Basically an actor’s opinion on what he’d like to do the above. Even Leonard Maltin in his Movie Guide called this ā€œmorally repugnant junk.ā€
  8. The Twilight movies--------Mormon propaganda masquerading as epic, modern-day Romeo and Juliet story, where, remorseless, demonic, savage killing machines are shown to actually be sensitive, misunderstood High-School misfits with tortured souls----and who are also, like, british, and so cute! Plus they glitter!! And can be like Gods!!
  9. Any movies by Michael Moore-----NOT a documentarian-----really just a maker of left-wing propaganda screeds. My opinion and I’m sticking to it.
I could go on, but you guys get the picture.

These are some of the ones that I can think of off the top of my head. How’s that?
