Here is a bit of humor to cheer everyone up… enjoy

Adventist All Star Trading Cards
That reminds me…remember the thing you had/have on yer blog about kids eating soy making them gay? Well, if that were true, then we’d all be gay about now. Look on the back of just about ANY product sold in the grocery stores today and you will find something extracted from soy beans in just about every single one of them.

I definitely don’t want to give you false hope, but i heard that this natural “remedy” can help alleviate arthritis pain. I’ve heard from several different places that it works: Soak yellow raisins in gin and when the gin evaporates, eat 9 of the raisins a day. I hve never tried it because i don’t have arthritis… so i can’t say it will help you… but anyway, just thought i would share this… God bless…
Gin and raisins eh? Thanks, I may to try it sometime.

I’d tell my mother but she wouldn’t be havin’ any of that (strict SDA, never drank smoked or ate unclean meats) lol.

Things aren’t going too bad I guess other than my ruptured disc is stressing me out today pretty good lol.

That is one main reason I cannot type long…the other main reason is I cannot type unless I look at the keys must look over the keyboard (usually pretty much in the dark with a small bit of lamp light) and it makes the whole body stress out on me as it effects all the muscles from the lower back all the way up to my neck and shoulders (mostly on my right side) with severe strains of tension, and I sometimes it gets tot he point where I just cant sit any longer and have to go lay down. Chiropractor said its degenerative arthritis 😦 yay!

It’s so bad I actually signed up for disability.

Hope everything is going well for you.
Charlie,
I hope things are going better for you. I know we all go through rough patches. Physical and emotional pain can really take a toll on our spiritual life. And we all go through “dry spells” where we feel far away from God and His mercy.
I’m just coming out of one of those now. I just have to stick with it and do the best I can. And when I make a mistake, I can’t dwell on it, wollowing in my human failure but ask for God’s mercy and guidance and just keep doing the best I can.
My solace is music. I find a measure of peace and hope in listening to good music declaring God’s messages. Sometimes I will write in my prayer journal pouring out my heart to God.
So find something, music, books, art or whatever interests you, to bring you back to Him. And pray. Even little prayers throughout the day will help.

Yea it was an article from World Net Daily… and yes… lots of soy… scary ehh? LOL

Yeah life sure can be a raw deal sometimes. Hope things keep getting better for too.

I have always had a hard time enjoying most music for some reason of any type but…

I have a favorite song now (Christian) that I heard on one of the Amazing Prophecies shows and I am thinking about stripping out the soundtrack so I can play it without having to watch the video on my pc to hear it…it is the most inspiring Christian song I have ever heard before personally.

I feel like posting it on my website someplace but the thought copyright infringments keep me from doing so. 😛

Anyway, thanks for the thoughful reply God blessings to you too.

Probably genetically altered soy too at that.

The FDA makes sure we have plently of allergenic products to make us sick so we need to go to the doctors and buy their drugs. I believe I become allergic to soy and maybe even eggs and milk as I get serious problems with my stomach and whole body basically when eating things that have these products processed into them. Maybe it is just because they are processed foods though…not sure.

The FDA says americans do not have the right to know which of our food products have been genetically altered sadly enough.

I got to thinking about the advice i gave you about soaking raisins in gin. You don’t drink alcohol, do you? Most SDAs don’t… and i assume you are in that church?? Anyway, i don’t mean to sound rude but that is one thing that would tel me the SDA religion is wrong if nothing else did: u can’t drink alcohol. Jesus drank wine at the Last Supper and changed water into wine… Also, its been proven that wine is a very healthy thing and that people who drink it live longer than those who don’t. I just found out about a couple who drank red wine at their dinner every night. One lived 2b 103 and one 104…
Anyway, you are in my prayers. God bless…🙂

i just read this after sending a Post… 🤷
It sounds like maybe you are not as strict as your mother??
God bless…:gopray:

Paul wrote to Timothy and told him to “stop drinking only water, but have a little wine for the ske of your stomach and frequent illnesses” (1 Timothey 5:23). I believe research has shown the benefits of moderate wine consumption.

Go it Alone:

When i suffer (which is all the time, it seems 😦 ) i think of how Jesus suffered in a similar way.
He suffered on the Cross in more ways than just physical… He was rejected by most humans… (i know that hurt emotionally). He was accused of lying (ditto)… He was misunderstood… same thing…
but maybe the physical sufferings we endure are the hardest to bear… I don’t know. It’s hard to put a measurement on such things…
Anyway, that’s one reason i appreciate the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary. Its like watching the Passion movie whenever you want (need) to…
On the outside looking in, the rosary looks like a lot of meaningless repetition, but once you get into praying it, you can go into a deep state of meditation - and leave the world behind…
Most of the world is anti-Christ, so leaving it behind is always a very good thing… (and a necessary thing…):gopray: 🙂

I laughed when i read this because it sounds like the “paranoid” thoughts i’ve had… in fact, that is a thoguht i DID have, exactly, that our food could be “altered” somehow in order to make us sick…
Store-bought milk clogs yoru arteries - long story how. Its the homog process (pasteur. doesn’t help either). Drink raw milk. There is a dairy in my area that legally sells it, i’ve been drinking it for years and i am healthier than ever (bl press: 104/67, etc.). Don’t want to say my age, but i’m not young… 😦
(“Youth is wasted on the young”…).
Anyway,i eat mostly organic these days and NO processed foods. OK, i do add that organic soy milk they sell in the store 2 some foods… but thats about it…
Anyway, if you have any info to support that “paranoid” thought, let me know… I always wonder if i am being paranoid of if my “fears are based in reality” (as this one shrink once explained the difference between true paranoia and what appears to be that…).
:gopray: 🙂

I heard on the radio this week that some people are using “cryotherapy” to treat RA (rheumatoid arthritis) symptoms.

I know that Goitalone stated that he has degenerative arthritis.

However it’s my understanding that the symptoms are similar… So maybe that’s an option… I don’t know really. Just an idea.

I am not sure if this question has been asked yet. If it has, please point me in the right direction.

Adventists teach that "Nowhere does the Bible command us to observe any weekly day other than the Sabbath. It delcares no other weekly day blessed or holy." (SDAB p. 254) This is false.

In Leviticus it says :
*The LORD said to Moses,
10
"Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When you come into the land which I am giving you, and reap your harvest, you shall bring a **sheaf of the first fruits **of your harvest to the priest,
11
1 who shall wave the sheaf before the LORD that it may be acceptable for you. On the day after the sabbath the priest shall do this. 12
On this day, when your sheaf is waved, you shall offer to the LORD for a holocaust an unblemished yearling lamb.
13
Its cereal offering shall be two tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil, as a sweet-smelling oblation to the LORD; and its libation shall be a fourth of a hin of wine.
14
2 Until this day, when you bring your God this offering, you shall not eat any bread or roasted grain or fresh kernels. This shall be a perpetual statute for you and your descendants wherever you dwell.
15
"Beginning with the day after the sabbath, the day on which you bring the wave-offering sheaf, you shall count seven full weeks,
16
3 and then on the day after the seventh week, the fiftieth day, you shall present the new cereal offering to the LORD.
17
For the wave offering of your first fruits to the LORD, you shall bring with you from wherever you live two loaves of bread made of two tenths of an ephah of fine flour and baked with leaven.
18
Besides the bread, you shall offer to the LORD a holocaust of seven unblemished yearling lambs, one young bull, and two rams, along with their cereal offering and libations, as a sweet-smelling oblation to the LORD.
19
One male goat shall be sacrificed as a sin offering, and two yearling lambs as a peace offering.
20
The priest shall wave the bread of the first fruits and the two lambs as a wave offer ing before the LORD; these shall be sacred to the LORD and belong to the priest.
21
On this same day you shall by proclamation have a sacred assembly, and no sort of work may be done. This shall be a perpetual statute for you and your descendants wherever you dwell. *

In the New Testament, St. Paul teaches us that the first fruits of the harvest, the first sheaf, represented the Risen Jesus.
*20
7 8 But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.
21
9 For since death came through a human being, the resurrection of the dead came also through a human being.
22
For just as in Adam all die, so too in Christ shall all be brought to life,
23
but each one in proper order: Christ the firstfruits; then, at his coming, those who belong to Christ;
24
then comes the end, 10 when he hands over the kingdom to his God and Father, when he has destroyed every sovereignty and every authority and power. *

Can anyone shed some light on this? To me, this shows Adventists are in error on the prefigure of Sunday.

Sincerely,

Maria1212

For an excellent book comparing Catholic and Adventist teaching on Sunday and the Saturday sabbath, I recommend reading An Adventist and a Catholic. The author is Paul Eirene.

It is well worth the effort of getting the book and it costs less than ten dollars. I recommend ordering several, so you can share it with your Adventist friends and family. You can also give it as a gift to Adventists who leave literature on your doorstep!
