I don’t feel like a senior member here and I probably shouldn’t anyway…all I feel like is a sinner dinking beer with an ongoing horrific tooth ache…make the two of them!

All that is saying is that the woman should seek consultation before deciding to do it. God gave us all freedom of choice. There is always right and a wrong path to take in this sin cursed world… These paths lie before us all each and everyday.

Satan because of God being a God of love gave us all freedon of choice…that is how sin came into exsistance to begin with…this world and it’s history is here to show us all what sin can do to a world as a lesson so it will never happen again.
Yeah, but that’s just it…

The women has the right to choose to kill her baby, but heaven for bid if she smokes, drinks, eats pork, and goes to church on Sunday.

If she does those things she’ll be damned to hell. However God will forgive her if she chooses to kill her baby…

By the way did you look at those images?

You sure stay up late…er maybe its just my own time zone eating away at this delusion lol

Yeah, but that’s just it…

The women has the right

not the right, the freedom of CHOICE!

to choose to kill her baby, but heaven for bid if she smokes, drinks, eats pork, and goes to church on Sunday.

Also her choice…does not mean any of it is right

If she does those things she’ll be damned to hell.

God’s the judge…he does however wish us to be healthy and eat right though for example right? Would He tell a woman it’s ok to kill her baby? Well I wouldn’t see that happening, rather I am sure He would council her to not do so, yet at the same time, give to her, her own freedom of choice just as He gave us all. Again though, does not mean any of it is right

However God will forgive her if she chooses to kill her baby…

God can had and will continue to forgive most anything except for suicide and in the end, ultimately rejecting Him into ones life.

By the way did you look at those images?
**No, too drunk…and I would rather not anyways…I don’t think it’s something one should be trying to view whether
they are drunken sinner or not…at least I would just plain rather not personally

…thanks though!**

And we as people here on this Earth looking the Elders for help and support.
To help us lead the way to God right? After all isn’t that way we listen to our pastor’s sermons and lessons? That is why you like those videos so much…

Anyway, Adventist Elders have no issue telling there members that they must abstain from pork, smoking and that the must worship on Saturdays. They have NO issue setting up clear boundaries on what is “right” and what is “wrong”.

However, when it comes to abortion, I see Yes it wrong, but there are some cases it’s okay. You decide if it’s right or wrong. That’s your “Free Will”. There is no clear you “MUST NOT” have an abortion.

What about those Babies and their free will to listen to God? What says do they have? Who is going to speak up for them? Clearly not you…

God gave Adam and Eve clear instruction. You should NEVER eat from the tree of knowledge. It was their free will to listen or not listen. God was not wishy washy on the issue. He did NOT tell Adam and Eve that if A, B, and C happened then you must not eat from the tree, but circumstances are D, E, and F it would be okay. NO he was clear. It was wrong, always wrong, and they should NEVER do it. Their free will was to listen or not listen. It was not to decide if the circumstances made it okay.

The Catholic Church gives a clear statement. You should NEVER have an abortion. Just like the tree of knowledge NO circumstances can make it “okay” to murder your baby. In Catholicism the woman has the free will to listen or not listen. Our hope is that she’ll listen. After all abortion is murder. As Christians we should not murder people.

And your right it is God that judges! Don’t for get He judges us by what we do and fail to do!

It seems that part of the difficulties goitalone is having stem from going it alone. In the Eastern Orthodox church, one of the things you learn right away is that you truly are not alone. You become part of the Body of Christ. There is strength for living a holy life which one will simply not find when they are “alone”.

I don’t know how it is in the Roman church but in the Eastern church the possibility for spiritual growth is enormously better than one finds in SDAism. I know… I grew up SDA.

I don’t know much about Adventism. I will never know much because I have a feeling that I will always be on the outside looking in… http://www.clicksmilies.com/s1106/travesmilies/haushalt/smilie_fensterputz.gif

I do however try to understand as much as I can. It seems to me that Adventism stress to much on a persons output. (i.e. deeds). Yes, deeds are important. Yes, we are to all bear fruit of the Holy Spirit.

However in order to bear this fruit we need to have an (name removed by moderator)ut. We can only bear fruit after we receive the (name removed by moderator)ut of Grace. Only when we are filled with Grace we can have an output of FAITH and WORKS. (Salvation by Grace through faith and works)

The output helps to keep the (name removed by moderator)ut of Grace coming in. Does that mean we “work” our way into Heaven? No, because God is the only one that can put the (name removed by moderator)ut in.

The first (name removed by moderator)ut comes from God and only he can put the Grace in. There is nothing we can do to “earn” that right. He does it out of mere love. We can’t “earn” someone’s love. Love is a gift. God freely gives us the give of Love He did that through his Son’s death.

After the first (name removed by moderator)ut of Grace we can help recharge that (name removed by moderator)ut with our faith and deeds. However faith and deeds alone will not keep the (name removed by moderator)ut charged. God’s constant love and protection will. Our constant need for God will keep the (name removed by moderator)ut filled.

Just like a car. Once the car has gas (Grace) it can pretty run and maintain the engine itself. (faith and deeds). However it does put a drain on the (Grace) and you eventually have to go and back to the gas station (God) and refill the gas (Grace) through the gas pump (Jesus). You can’t do it forever on your own!

Of course God doesn’t care if you are clean or not. Every Car I’ve seen has some dirt (sin) on it. Some people are more willing and careful to keep the car clean and go through the carwash (confession) regularly and others are not.

However they all end up at the Gas Station (to God) and He fills them up. I’ve never seen a car turn away because it has too much dirt (sin) on it. However I’ve seen plenty that after filling up (receiving Grace) going through the car wash (confession). I’ve never seen a car with an empty tank (no grace) go through the carwash (confession).

I’ve seen plently of cars after the first fill up and carwash coming back regularly to fill up and get wash down. They will come in every week, even if the tank is still 3/4 full. They just want a recap. They’ll even go through the car wash even if they don’t look like they need it. Just because they are doing their part to stay clean.

I’ve seen others that wait until the tank is nearly empty and they have only enough gas (grace) left to crawl their way to the pumps (Jesus). However they make it and when they do they look great afterwards full of energy and free from sin.

Then there are others that never make it back to the pump (Jesus) They waited until it was to late and ran out before they could make it. If they are lucky someone will be willing to help get them to the pump (Jesus) or will even share some of the gas (grace) that they have.

To me it seems that is where Adventism goes wrong. To me it seems that they try to have a carwash before getting the gas. It’s really hard to get a car through the car wash with an empty tank.

Or they get themselfs stuck on the side of the road and are unwilling to ask for help. They just rather be stuck and say that’s okay I’m not worthy anyways.

Of course I could be wrong. However it’s just my opinion from being on the outside looking in. I get this opinion by the Adventist that I’ve talked to. When they “fall” they seem to “fall” hard. They seem to feel that there is no way out and they are doomed for hell. I would feel that way too if I was trying to push a car with NO Gas through the carwash. Or just let myself get stuck on the side of the road and not ask for help.

One last thought:

Have you ever noticed while traveling down the road (the road of life) how there are road signs (Mary, Angels, Saints, Christian Elders, and other Christians) that point the way to the nearest gas station with a pump (Christ).

If you rely on the road signs (Mary, Angels, Saints, Christian Elders and other Christians) then you will never be far away from the nearest Gas Station. (You would never be far away from God). Therefore you would always have God when you need him.

God did not want Man to be “alone” that is why he gave him a mate. God does not want us to be “alone”. We are to rely on our brother and sisters in Christ. We are suppose to help each other get to the pumps (Christ) and the carwash (confession) often!

That is what it means to be “church” in my opinion.

Actually I got the name I used here 8 years ago off a song from my …well the only band I like/liked

This could be the saddest dusk, I’ve ever seeeen…
I turn to a miracle, high alive
My mind is racing, as it always will
My hands are tired and my heart aches
From half a world away
To go it alone, and hold it along, haul it along and hold it.
Black birds, backwards, forwards and fall…goOooOOooOOOoo

“A song about being drunk and in love” was the quote made by R.E.M. about the song Half A World Away off the 1991 album Out Of Time

goitalone, you want a real conspiracy? In Rome on the ancient Forum stands the old temple of Saturn. We get Saturday from the name Saturn. Sda’s worship on…Saturday! In Rome they have secret meetings at the temple of Saturn on Saturday nights. There they worship Saturn and make blood sacrifices to him. You believe me don’t you? I have just as much evidence for this as you do of the sda beliefs about Catholicism. No, I haven’t been drinking beer either.

GoItAlone,
Why do you keep saying your lost?

I don’t remember when the last time I said that, but yeah I kinda get the feeling I am just not going to make it.

Reasons:Gone back to drinking the devils brew.
Code:
          Have not stopped smoking.

Familiy is in turmoil and that brings me down daily.

Can't seem to keep the Sabbath (Saturday) no matter
          what I do.

          And TONS of other unmentionables.
I can’t even get to church like I wanted to because of my mother and the things she has told people in the past.

I wanted to go to another church in a different town but my car is broke down and I am still sick and out of work.

Just totally depressed.

Dear Charles,

I am sorry you are feeling depressed. Habits like smoking and drinking (whether it is alchohol, caffeine, or any other beverage) are very hard to change. I do not know your background, but making true lasting change on anything takes time. It is natural to slip up, that is why we ask God for forgiveness and mercy and turn to him for reconcilliation. God forgives us, and we need to forgive ourselves, no matter how many times it takes. So please do not give up on yourself.

As you know, Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament in the New Testament, and liberated Christians from laws that were burdensome and almost impossible to keep. Christians have not changed Gods old laws, but they became fulfilled, and the laws of Jewish people no longer applied to Christians. (Dietary laws for example). We have the Sabbath, whether you celebrate it on Saturday or Sunday (as the Lords Day) to not only rest our bodies, but more importantly to give honor and glory to God. But this process is a work in progress. Each day we strive to do a little better. Do your best to honor the Lord and to grow closer to him on the Sabbath, and on each day, and God will be pleased.

Even if you do not “believe in the saints” I encourage you to study their lives as role models. Many saints battled depression and feared they did not love God enough. You are not alone in feeling this way. In fact, it is impossible for us to love God “enough.”

I hope you will be able to find a church you feel comfortable in. No matter what your Mom may have told your congregation, you have a right to worship there, and Adventists, as Christians, should treat you with love and and respect in God`s house. As you know, the Christian Church is not the building, but the people. If they do not treat you in a Christian way, you are right to seek out a church where its members better emulate Christ and what he taught.

With God you are not alone, so you will make it. And you are not alone, because we at CAF are here. We will all keep you in our prayers. Even though some Adventists may not consider Catholics to be Christian, we still consider you our brother in Christ.

Sincerely,

Maria1212

Reflecting on the life a Job would be a good place to start.
You can find his story in your bible. OT the book of Job.

Then there’s Padre Pio…

You can do a google search for Padre Pio and see how much he suffered.

Both men are good examples on how their sufferings DID NOT make them turn away from God or loose HOPE in GOD.

Job and Pardre Pio both loved God…

There are other people that have been before us that have faced troubles. There are more then just the 2 I’ve listed. It’s true that reading about the life of the saints can help. It helps us realize that we aren’t alone. That others have had these similar problems. And because the Saints lifes here on Earth are done you can see how they got to the light at the end of the tunnel. Which give hope. If they can make it to the light at the end of the turnnel so can I. (With God’s help of course). Sometimes after I read about a life of a Saint I find myself in prayer asking God to give me the strength to make it through my tunnel.

It is those road signs point the way to Christ…

Thank you for those beautiful examples. A few days before his death, even St. Francis of Assisi was asking others to pray he would not be lost. He like many other saints, feared he did not love God enough.

Maybe I’m missing something…
