But he isn’t Protestant. If he’s not practicing a faith he isn’t really anything. Which is why this is so silly. If he isn’t getting off his tushie and attending services regularly as well as doing other things to actually practice his faith then why does he care?The reason he will agree to a Lutheran baptism is because and I quote “It’s protestant and I am a protestant.”Also I converted from the Lutheran church to the Catholic church. At this point I feel like I am fighting a losing battle
Maybe I am the Wicked Witch of the Midwest, but I’d tell him that I understand he has Protestant leanings, but that I am catholic. I’d add that the children are equally mine and, again, since I am the one seriously practicing my faith I should be the one to handle religious instruction and initiation rites. I think I’d feel differently if he were practicing a faith, but he’s not.
