Some of the greatest saints were former prostitutes, and Christian killers. Can’t believe one would use that for their own purpose.
Actually, I’ve read her articles. They’re full of false accusations and misleading information as she takes bits and pieces of what others say out of context. It’s fundamentalists ideology she follows not Catholic teaching, especially on contemplative prayer.Clearly u r completely consumed by this and closed to hearing any opposition of it no matter how much sense it makes which is a big red flag, so there is no sense in anymore discussion on the matter.
And being at the center of your being in the presence of God is the very essence of intention in Centering Prayer. In fact, St John of the Cross, in the Living Flame of Love, teaches us that God is at the center and it’s from this book, where the term “Centering Prayer,” came from. Before that, it was called “Quiet Prayer,” or “Prayer of Quiet.”The very center of this mansion is the chambers of which you and God meet. She will teach you how to pray so as to bring you into a meditation where u can meet God at the center of your soul.
No need to apologize, I’m not offended. If I have offended u in any way by what I have said, then I apologize. My zeal to defend Our Lord sometimes carries me away and I say things I should not. When we venture out of the sources which God gave us through his Saints to learn and practice such things, there is a real danger. And it shows by the shape so many souls are in from being led so much away from God through such people claiming to be experts on spirituality. Suffering and sacrifice in someone for the sake of Our Lord are the real proofs that they are working for God. Jesus shows us this in the cross. The great deceiver is deceiving so many who really love God and want to do his will by these so called spiritual teachers
