Ha! Me liberal? That’s funny. However, I do like to stay open-minded (although many of my family members would laugh at that as well).

I used to feel as you did, but I’ve read on it and seen/felt the positive results.

Thats my opinion about that alleged origin of Reiki. My wife is a Reiki Master, so I know something about this healing technique, although I’m certainly no expert. There is nothing evil about it whatsoever. The purpose of it is too heal and provide well-being; there is no sexual connection to it.

Oh contrare! My wife was well on her way to Reiki masterdom when she found herself in a dark new age cultic and pseudo-guru community. I witnessed these false teachers and the hypnotic brain washed stares. She got out fast! I’m not saying that your wife is like that. I’m only saying----**beware! **

Well, I’m sorry your wife experienced that, but that hasn’t been the case with my wife and her friends who use Reiki. However, she has attended some extreme “woo-woo” sessions in the past, and felt they were a little too weird for her tastes.

My wife is a firm believer in God, and I don’t think her use of Reiki has affected that belief, or her relationship with him.

I hope not Mike. And I will pray for you both. The prince of this world (satan) is extremely subtle and deceptive at the same time. Be very watchful.

Has anyone ever heard of Brian Farnum? He is touted as a “scientific intuitive.” He is often on the “Deborah Ray” radio talk show. All you have to do is listen to him or go to his website and read a little bit to figure out he is a complete charlatan. He pretty much debunks himself.
