And it seems Ebay has responded to the small outcry

Meaning, unless Item number wrong, it has been removed 👍

The first time this auction went on ebay in April, it was stated by the seller that he was selling a communion wafer received by his mother from Pope John Paul II. The mother, he said was Catholic and now dead. This person does not know or care about the difference between a blessed host and a consecrated host.

If indeed it was consecrated and still remains as a host (he could not sell a disintegrated one) it still is Jesus.

Forest is out of place to make the declaration that Jesus is not there and I am only defending the Catholic Faith.

Excuse me please for posting Jesus under the “water cooler” ( where the post was quickly progressed to the third page of posts by such important matters as “do you reuse your ziplock bags” ) Sacraments, News and media (internet). I thought this was important enough so that persons who read those forums might be interested and might have missed it.

Forest has pointed out to me very clearly that in his opinion one post was more than enough and he took care of them by having them shut down.

There are consecrated hosts which became Eucharistic Miracles and are more than a few years old and still considered to be Jesus.

Jesus did not jump down off the cross when the going got tough. We should not assume that he will remove himself from a host that is in abuse.

I just tried the link I posted in another thread earlier today and it led me to a message that the item had been removed! Below is the link that used to take you to the auction.

I have no authority to close threads.

You have broken several forum rules between this and the other thread you keep nonsensically skipping between in your insults to me. Those include duplicate posts, posts in the wrong forum, uncharitable posts, personal attacks, seeking personal information, and questioning moderator activity. I did what was right by contacting eBay and updating the community with the appropriate avenues to go through, which, according to CidCatholic, was a part of eBay pulling the auction. You yourself said that I was one of the few willing to help. I will not return to either of these threads which have degenerated into vicious attacks for absolutely no reason.

Grammy,
I shared your outrage in the auction, also contacted ebay help myself, followed up with the email contact to ebay when a link was posted that did not require me to open an ebay account to complain, then e-mailed a Catholic friend of mine who has both an ebay account and a large email contact list asking that they join the protest.

And I’m glad the auction was shut down.

When you have an important topic worth notice, like this was, I’d like to offer a suggestion for how to keep a thread alive in this forum. At the top of the page is a quick link to New Posts. Lots of people use that to see what threads are “hopping news”, instead of focusing on a particular sub-forum. The key is to keep one thread with an ever-growing number of posts visible on the New Posts page.

Instead of starting multiple threads in multiple sub-forums, do this: First, use the Search feature to find out if your topic already is being discussed. If it is, add your comments there. If it isn’t, pick a place and start only one thread. Follow up regularly and post an update on your thread during busy times of the day. This will refresh the topic on the New Posts page and keep it visible to the maximum number of people. Hopefully it will take on a life of its own, and may even cross the “hot topic - over 50 posts” line, which will generate even more reader interest.

Good night and God bless. Sleep well tonight and wake up smiling tomorrow. And when you go to Mass, ask God to forgive your vitriol (even though you felt justified in expressing it), and praise God in all His glory for answering your prayers - ebay took action in less than a day.

Well done with EBay!..and I’m jolly glad the auction was shut down too…makes me glad I dont have a credit card!

Also, really good advice re keeping threads going and not starting up new Posts…thank you for the advice - I’ll take it!

I think your imagination is working over time. You give me way too much credit. I have only been a forum member since the first ebay auctions for the Eucharist in April. I was not aware that I was breaking any commandments by alerting persons in diferent forums to this outrage, until I heard from you.

You challenged me on the Real Presence and then had the thread shut down. I responded to you on the thread started about ebay by another member. That was not my thread.

When you declared without question that Jesus is not in a consecrated host you will hear from me and others who feel as I do.

You also did not hear any personal attacks. I honestly did not realize you were the one who posted the zip lock bag post. I have not questioned any moderator activity. You are the one who has communicated with them. Not me.

I did not seek any personal information. I do not know where you came up with that one. What possible reason would there be for that? I would not have any idea of how to look for any personal information on the forums nor would I have a need to.

You could have emailed me and asked if I knew that there should only be a post in one forum. That would have been charitable. If anything was attacked it was my posts and devotion to the Real Presence.

I am sorry if you some how feel you were injured.

I am relieved that this is over and the auction has been shut down.
